Looks better than it sounds
Interesting mashup of several guitar styles at an affordable price. This is actually a Jaguar-shaped body, with a Strat-style tremolo, and Gibson-inspired P-90 pickups and Varitone rotary switch. In all, it looks like a prettified Jazzmaster (check out that pickguard), and plays well. Just don't expect it to sound anything like a Jazzmaster or a Jaguar. The body is poplar (not a real tonewood), so there's not much resonance. And there's zero string length behind the bridge, so there's no jangle. This can be a fun purchase if you're OK with those limitations. But if you really want a Fender-style offset guitar, buy something alder-bodied. Like a real U.S.- or Mexican-made Fender. (Current Squiers use inferior woods.)If you're on a budget, check out the Xaviere JM100 or Vintage V65, both alder and affordable. They come with viable electronics, and you can always upgrade the pickups later.

Not bad for the price
I bought a sunburst tw-61 on reverb.com on a whim. Been wanting a JM for awhile and not willing to pay the extreme prices they are going for these days. Surprisingly, its not a horrible guitar. My main complaint is their "technical wood" fretboard feels very fake and odd. Kinda sticks against your fingers when doing bends. Otherwise it's not a bad guitar for the price. Got decent action by lowering the bridge a little. The fret edges are clean and seem to be level etc. Has a good feel to it. You really never know what you're gonna get with this cheap Chinese made stuff but this one seems ok.
