It's super brilliant.While you're cutting your hair, instead of it getting all over your clothes, all over your sink/floor or whatever room you're doing your hair in, barely ANY hair gets on anything.Just a few whispies come off but easily 95-99% of the hair is vacuumed up into the little compartment on the machine, which is super fast and easy to empty and has a good capacity.I find that I only have to empty it probably once, maybe twice max when I give myself a full haircut.Due to the built-in vacuum technology, you can cut your hair or trim your facial hair RIGHT before you go somewhere (e.g. right before you head to work) without any worry about a major clean up whatsoever.You can even cut your hair AFTER taking your shower, if you want to!With all the other clippers I've ever owned until now, I had to strip down when I'd cut my hair or wear a cape because hair would get stuck in my clothes.Then there would be a big clean up job and had to take a shower to get all the hair off my neck, face and body. Does it have household bagless vacuum cleaner power? No, it doesn't need it. I've seen some people here lament the assertion that it lacks power and hair gets all over the place. I have two pieces of advice for them which, if they take, will largely solve their problems. (1) Keep the receptacle clean. Not hard. (2) Slow and steady. Don't yank it across your head like you get paid for the number of sheep you shear. I haven't made a mess with this thing yet, and I use it to prep my head for shaving, so I'm taking everything on my head off. This works a charm and it does it cleanly.

That said, the convenience of the vacuum feature and the overall durability make it worth the investment. If you're willing to work around the noise, cost, and minor mess, this tool can still be a valuable addition to your grooming routine!

This is the greatest invention of all time: hair and beard clippers with a built in vacuum cleaner! No more mess, no hairs to clog up drains and make a mess on the floor. I love it. I am 84 years old and live alone and cut my own hair and that has always been a challenge. These clippers make it easy. I often have the clippers at an odd angle, tilted out of position, yet it seems to collect all of the hair that I cut off. It has a clear cover on the vacuum part so you can check it and when it is getting full, it is easy to pull the plastic "catcher" off and shake the hairs out. Then pop it back on to the clippers and continue clipping.It has a lot of combs so I just picked a couple that work best for me and they work fine. Be careful if you don't put one of the combs on the cutters because it will nick you. I wish the power cord were a little thicker. It is thin and stiff so when it bunches up it is a little harder to straighten out, but that's okay - the vacuum cleaner function makes this an A+++ item.

I had cut my hair with a Flowbee for well over 20 years. Recently, the household vacuum cleaner I used with the Flowbee stopped working. I discovered I could still use the Flowbee with my shop vac, but the experience made me wonder if I should switch to a hair clipper. I discovered this item, the Remington Vacuum Hair Clipper, at a reasonable price. My experience so far is that the Remington gives me a good-looking haircut in about half the time I used to spend with the Flowbee because I am only using one relatively small machine (no hose to manipulate and no separate vacuum cleaner to hook up). Also, the clippers with comb attachments are more efficient than the Flowbee suck -and-cut method. Lastly the tapered combs provided with the Remington give a smoother taper to the sides than I was able to achieve with the Flowbee. For me, the ease and results are well worth the price to make the switch. The built-in vacuum is as effective as the Flowbee at trapping hair trimmings.

Works just like they promoted. The only thing that I didn't care for is the numbers on guards. They are hard to see and a little confusing. Trial by error. Also would like to see more sizes of guards.
