Used these down here in south/eastern Texas before they were popular. They are more expensive now but well worth it. You do not have to use a whole one if the puddle is not large. You can break them into chunks and use as needed throughout yard. And they do not dissolve immediately, if puddle dries up these do as well, waiting to be used on the next rain(s).Have used these for years and they work really well.

i honestly dont know if they work because the skeeters are horrendous where i live in the midwest. ive made 4 dunks of death in my 3/4 acre yard and some lowes buckets. but i still have to cover my body 100% just to water my garden and they even try to bite my eyeballs. how do you know if they work if the mosquitos are so thick.. ? helps me think im doing something to deter them if anything its probably mental,.

This is a life saver!!!! Working in the garden will almost guarantee my legs get devoured by mosquitos as its monsoon season here in the desert, so its been super hot & humid.Ive read other reviews & watched videos on youtube about adding kitchen scraps as well as yard scraps to the bucket, to promote Co2 as they decay, which also helps attract mosquitos to the trap.I also put some plant trays we got from the nursery to keep our dogs noses out of the dunk trap as well.Will definitely be keeping these on hand from now on!!!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:These things are a MUST HAVE during the summer months, or any month you spend time outside! I don't have any standing water, so I make my own in a small bucket with water and a little yard waste. I only use a 1/4 of a dunk at a time and they work like a charm killing the larvae and thus limiting the amount of mosquitoes in my yard/house. These last at least a month and I don't have to worry about covering myself in smelly bug spray. It is a great value for what I get in return: a backyard that is safe to spend time in!

We have these in drains (attached with a string,) and we have several buckets set up throughout our wooded lot. For the buckets, fill halfway with water, throw some debris in there and throw a dunk in. Put a lid with drilled holes on it and let it work its mosquito magic. Be sure to add a new dunk about once a month. Seriously cuts down on the mosquitos and we’ve tried everything living on 4 wooded acres with a creek and pool.

Not sure if it is just a placebo effect but wow, I am impressed! I put 1/2 a dunk in 4 buckets around the house early June and the mosquitoes are nowhere to be found. We have had A LOT of rain this summer so far and I was expecting the mosquitoes to be absolutely horrible but they aren’t when I’m by the house.

I am not sure how well these work, but I figured they can't hurt because we live by a drainage ditch which has water in all summer. I would think these have to help control the mosquito population to some extent. Product is easy to use and has no smell, but the packaging could be improved because they are difficult to remove. The backing is a light cardboard which just wants to tear away which makes it hard to remove the discs. This is a good value for the amount you receive.
