OtterBox Defender Case for Sony Xperia Z3V - Frustration-Free Packaging - Black

This rugged case gives my phone superior protection. As smartphones get more sophisticated-- and expensive-- this is becoming very necessary. The case features a rather thick plastic overlay that goes over the screen and is part of the case. For some reason, this overlay attracts dust and grease, but it is worth the minor annoyance for the protection. It does not affect the operation of the touchscreen in any way. In fact, because the overlay is part of the case, it gives a spot to slip in a red filter for astronomy nights. The case makes for a tight fit for a USB connector to the USB port, something that is still occasionally required. My wireless charger works through the case back, but the case back could stand to be a bit thinner there. Due to this phone's size, the belt holster is a bit unwieldly, but the phone fits securely in it, and easily snaps in and out. If you want real protection for your phone, and not just a pretty skin for it, this is the case to have!

This is a real quality cell phone case, but I have to admit I was really flummoxed when trying to open it up so I could insert the phone. the printed instructions that came with the phone don't tell how to open the case, I looked for a You Tube and the only one I could find didn't show opening the case. I finally gave it a better look till I found the little tabs that need to be pushed in to open it. Once I accomplished that I was very impressed with it and am happy with my purchase. It protects all parts of the phone including the screen.

I love the case it fits perfect, if I knew anybody else with a z3v I'd definitely recommend it. The rubber is not grippy, but if I set it on my dashboard it would stay. The plastic is a lot easier to get off than previous Otterbox's I've owned. One thing that I do not like and it's why I gave it four stars is the plastic screen. The plastic screen collects the oil off your fingers, and makes it so that every time you tap somewhere it taps in a completely different place. The good thing is the screen is put on with a cheap adhesive so it easily pops out. I also saw a review saying you could one of the tempered glass screen and it fits and works better.

This case works flawlessly. It's a bit expensive, but what can you do? Especially if you are in the United States where this phone is incredibly underrated and pretty much unjustifiably ignored hahahaha. There aren't many accessories for the Xperia Z3V out there. In fact I've never seen anything other than a few cases and screen protectors..... On the Internet. Either way this case fits snug as a bug, keeps dust out pretty well (I work for a local Sewer District so I can get very dirty, the phone does not due in large part to this case), and protects the screen very well. I'm not a fan of Otter Box products in general due to past experiences, but this one does a very good job. I don't think there is a better case for this phone.

Hard to put on but worth the effort. My first otterbox! My friends use them and I thought it was about time to give it a try. I could make no sense of the directions. My husband figured it out for me. It has protected my phone the few times I have dropped it. After I figured out the clip could move and be used as a stand I was thrilled. It was worth the price and the aggravation of getting the case on my phone.Pros-Protects the phoneI dont have to install a screen guard anymore.Cons-The instructions on how to get it on the phone where hard to understand.Update- Had to buy another one because I lost my phone. Still great quality. It protects my phone when I drop it.

This was great protection for my phone. I have owned Otterbox for other phones and it is my first accessory purchase when I get a new device. I have had my current phone for three years and started considering getting a new device - and when I took it out of the well abused Otterbox and saw what great condition the device was in, I decided to just get a fresh Otterbox and keep the same device. I feel like I still have a new phone, because mine has never been exposed to the elements and abuse.

The Otterbox is, hands down, the best protection for smart phones! I have used them for years. The only reason why I am rating this 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the dust that gets behind the Otterbox screen. I'm not sure if anything can be done about that since it has slots for the speakers on both sides (or top and bottom) of the screen. With that said, I would never give up the Otterbox and will just have to deal with opening the Otterbox and cleaning the dust out on a regular basis.

This is just what I wanted. It fit perfectly on my Motorola Droid Maxx. It works well to protect the phone, though it isn't as heavy duty as an OtterBox Commuter series. I didn't need a cover as sturdy as that, though, and am very happy with with this one. The turquoise cover is so bright and cheerful. I really like it. Would definitely recommend this for anyone who needs just average protection for their phone. I keep my phone in my purse, or on my desk, so it doesn't get rough treatment. If you carry your phone in your pocket or are outside in all kinds of weather, get the commuter series.
