Why didn't I buy these sooner
If you're picking up the hobby and don't know if you're going to actively be knitting that much, I wouldn't stress on getting these. but if you honestly knit all the time and want something comfortable and smooth, GET THESE WITHOUT ANY BUYER REMORSE. I bought these and instantly felt regret (even though the price is incredibly reasonable compared to most). I'm incredibly frugal when it comes to spending on my knitting items, but I was really uncomfortable with my Takumi Bamboo interchangeable set. I often wouldn't even pick up projects because my fingers and palms would ache after having to knit with the tension they provided! So I bought these and my cheap side was all OH NOOO WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!?? But ONCE I picked these up for a project, they felt so comfortable. I personally love how pointy and smooth they are. I know some prefer rounded tips (so they don't break the yarn) and the tension wooden/bamboo needles make to hold their stitched in place, but this build helped my hands make stitches at an even/smoother pace. I loved that the stitches just rolled off as I knitted (Continental knitter). No extra strain in my hand with having to squeeze stitches off the needle to the wire, no index finger pain from having to push the needle away or in the yarn. Just smooth sailing. I instanyl bought the Mini Chiogoo set after experiencing these. The iconic Chiaogoo wire is my all time favorite now. It's strong enough to knit two sleeves at the same time and no twist!!! NO TWIST. ugh. And their build of (L) and (s) sizes is genius. My takumi would just build a collection of finished stitches at the end of my needles that I would have to pull them to the wire because the large metal connector was keeping the small stitches in place. The small sized wires with chiaogoo makes the metal connect match the size of your stitches. GENIUS! I didn't even know that this small detail would make a difference, but my knitting speed has improved because of it. (Also no more tugging at wool and making it look felt-like) If you want a set that you want to keep forever and ranges form hat making to sweater making. THIS IS THE SET. I followed the advice to stay with the 4 inch needles since some say making hats with the longer needles was tedious.

Nice set
The set is really nice. It changed my life. Dependable has shorter needles for knitting inside a hat. The cables are more flexible., This particular set is a full set of almost every needle size I think I’ll ever need. It comes with extra parts. Ur comes with directions. It comes with a nice carrying case that zips closed. Just a nice complete set

Wonderful. Great quality. Smooth ride for my stitches.
I love these needles!! They are just as described by many. I have been using KnitPicks laminated wood circular needles for a while, which I do like. I recently bought ChiaoGoo Lace Minis and was really amazed by them. So I thought It might be time to upgrade my circular needles. I am just as amazed at the quality and ease of use of these as the minis. I really enjoy the sharp tips. It makes it much easier to do cable stitches and undo stitches. The sharp tips can get into those tight cable stitches much better than my KnitPicks needles. I’m also enjoying the smoothness of these ChiaoGoo needles. They are brushed which holds the yarn back just enough so that they don’t slide right off. But they are still really slick and makes it really easy to push and pull my stitches around. I didn’t really understand what it meant that the cable to these needles had no memory. Once I pulled them out of the package I finally got it. It doesn’t retain the coil like the other circular needles. When you dangle it in the air it just goes completely slack. The cable and the needles are very light weight. I was worried that I would hate the sound of these needles. I don’t generally like the sound of metal clanking together. But these needles have a general muted clicking sound. Kind of like the sound of your nails taping your teeth. Sometimes they don’t even make a sound. I also was worried that the sliding of metal needles would annoy me. The sound is a gentle swooshing that I’m okay with. I chose the 4” needle set instead of the 5” because I have been doing a lot of hats and the 4” would allow me to get to a 16” circle. I also have small hands and thought that in the long run I could still use them comfortably for other projects. So far they fit my hands well. My pinky can rest right at the base/end of the needle. I am really happy with this new addition to my knitting basket.

LOVE THESE NEEDLES!
I realize that these are expensive but they are the best purchase I have made for my knitting. I now have every needle size and cord size I will ever need. You can join the cords to make them longer which is a great bonus. The yarn slides off the needle nicely but doesn't slip to point where I drop stitches. They come in a great fabric case to organize them so I never have to search for needles and cords. Make sure you use the tool to tighten the cord to the needle. If you do this they won't disconnect and drop stitches off the needle. I've never had that happen with this set. I absolutely love my ChiaoGoo! Even though they were expensive I think if you purchase all the needles and cord sizes individually it would cost far more. I highly recommend ChiaoGoo.

Great needles, great cord, would recommend.
Great set of needles, and certainly lives up to the hype. I’ve loved knitting with them and I feel confident they’ll last years to come. The needles stay tightly screwed onto the cords when I use the included pin to tighten, and also stayed put when I didn’t use it one time (but I won’t be making a habit of that). The cord is fabulous, no memory at all. I have noticed it “sticking” to my yarn, as it isn’t slippery like normal nylon cords - but I’ve also read that you can use rubbing alcohol to correct that, which I’ll be trying one of these days! It’s nice that it comes with needle stoppers but I don’t think I’ll be using them much, and same goes for the stitch markers. They’re cute but the hard plastic is thicker than I’d like - I prefer the ones that are more of a silicone feel and bend. Which is a shame that I don’t like them more because I could really use them! But I bought the kit for the needles and cords, not the freebie stitch markers! The case is functionally wonderful, I’m just not personally a fan of the fabric pattern. But the numbered slots for each set of needles, the zipper closure, and the little zippered front pocket are all really good features that you don’t find in other sets! Would definitely purchase again and will be recommending to anyone who will listen!

I knit about 30% faster with these
I learned to knit as a kid, using Boye aluminum needles. It was torture. I really liked knitting but eventually gave it up because my stitches were always way too tight, too uneven, etc. I watched videos and read books but couldn’t figure out what I was doing wrong. I thought it might be my needles, so I bought a lot of different brands over the years (Susan Bates, Clover), hoping to find something that I could knit with. I never did. I tried the store brands of bamboo, plastic and aluminum needles. I bought every brand at the sparse craft store near my house. I tried different yarns, thinking it was my tension. My projects never, ever fit in spite of knitting a swatch for gauge; they took forever, my fingers were always pricked from forcing needles through stitches, and I felt like I was just wasting money on ruined yarn (and, spoiler alert: I was; never mind the huge stash of unused needles with the paint worn off from too tight stitches). Eventually I gave up the search, and decided that, to paraphrase the immortal Austen, “after all that is bewitching in the idea of a single and constant attachment, and all that can be said of one's happiness depending entirely on any particular knitting needle, it is not meant--it is not fit--it is not possible that it should be so.” And then I found these. They were expensive, I told myself at first. Too expensive. And I “couldn’t knit.” How could I justify the cost? I spent hours at night on knitting blogs, scrolling through articles praising Chiaogoo’s quality and the difference it made to one’s knitting. And then I thought about my expensive yarn stash and all those unused needles, and figured I had already wasted that much and more. And then in one horrible moment of weakness I gave in to temptation and just bought them, figuring I could return them again once I regretted the purchase. And I always did. But when they arrived, everything changed. The heavens parted, the veil tore in two, Sauron was destroyed, I felt the light of dawn on my face and sweet choral music swelled around me as I did a long tail cast on for my first project in over a decade. And lo and behold, as I knit my first row the way I always did, my stitches were inexplicably uniform. Uniform. Intoxicated by my success, I abandoned all idea of knitting a swatch and recklessly worked up the first hat I had actually completed in over a decade. It took me around three to four hours, in fair isle, using a gorgeous bulky wool yarn by Malabrigo. And. It. Fit. It was perfect. The hat was actually beautiful. I could have cried, but that would be weird. So I just wear the hat. These needles are coated in magic and sunshine, they glide through yarn effortlessly, keeping an even tension that helps tremendously with the uniformity of your stitches. The cables stay tight, they work for Magic Loop, and they are so smooth that I knit about forty percent faster without even trying. I seriously have to use zero additional effort. I just marathon knitted for ten hours on these yesterday (don’t ask, I procrastinate okay?), and my hands and wrists are not sore at all. I’m young, but I have joint issues from a thing so this is a small miracle. I did not receive these for free, I have no affiliation with Chiaogoo (or Malabrigo, while we’re at it), I’m not an influencer or paid whatever, and I don’t even know what I’m doing when I knit. But these needles are seriously great, and I’m not going to lie about that either. I get that they’re expensive enough to fund a (very short) college education, but if you’re on the fence just go for it. You will not regret it. They take the work and frustration out of knitting and actually make it fun again.

DEFINITELY worth the money!
I learned to knit in Spring 2008 using the Denise kit, and I never thought I would find a replacement until now. The wooden Knit Picks set was by far the worst needles; yet, I decided to invest money in the ChiaoGoo set after reading the Amazon customer reviews. I cannot begin to describe the gratification I experienced when using the ChiaoGoo needles for the first time. The sound of metal colliding was minimum compared to the Knit Picks version, and I spent countless hours returning to a hobby I love after placing it on the shelf for over seven years. There is no comparison to the needles' quality because they are sturdy to provide the perfect grip without feeling heavy when working in rounds. The needles have yet to disconnect from the cable during my project; yet, I am on row ninety, and the needles remain in tack. The finishing of the needles provides visibility when having to k2tog using dark yarn. I LOVE knitting with the ChiaGoo needles and recommend all knitters to invest in this set when seeking quality, durable knitting needles. I only regret waiting until recently to invest in quality needles because my grandmother was right when she told me, 'You get what you pay for.'

Even better than the 5-inch tips for small hands.
I love these even more than my 5-inch ChiaoGoos! I have small hands, and I like how these fit my hands. They aren't just for small projects either! I used them to make a huge sweater coat with no issues at all. Love, love them! If they make a 3-inch set, I'd probably buy those too. They would have been nice on my sweater sleeves. :) You seriously can't go wrong with the Twist set. The cables are amazing and sturdy and kink-free, with smooth joins at the ...join, and the needles are wonderfully slick without being too slick. Smooth, sort of a brushed feel but not rough at all, Nice, sharp tips, which are perfect for all the lace I love to knit, and they make a nice swishing sound when I use them. I can feel the difference between these stainless steel tips and aluminum needles, and I prefer my ChiaoGoos.
