... it this weekend for a 13 mile run and glad I purchased
Used it this weekend for a 13 mile run and glad I purchased. Love the quality of the bag and bladder. Great storage and sleek design was great for the run. It was light weight and easy to use. I do have two cons. First it took a little to get use to the mouth piece. I had to bit down on the mouth piece to get the water back down the tub so it would not leak all over my arm. Second I am busty so the straps did rub on the inside of my upper arm leaving so chaffing (rub burns). This will not however going to make me stop using the pack. I will still try to make some adjustments to see if I can improve the position to prevent the rubbing next time.

On/off valve for straw broke in just 3 months.
The value to open and close the mouth piece has always been too small and hard to move. The small lip on the value that you place your thumb on to swivel it open/closed just finally cracked in half. So the value is fully open now and can’t be closed. This means every time you fill up the backpack water will be pouring out the straw unless you have it held higher than the backpack itself. It also means that while you are wearing it every time you bend forward to pick something up off the ground, water will come rushing out of the straw. What a mess. This is when shopping in a brick and mortar store is better. I would take it back and explain what happened in 3 short months and get my money back. When you buy on Amazon, you are stuck with a lemon after 30 days.Edited to add: after the company saw my review they made things more than right and I’m all set up to go again. Thank you!! After this type of customer service I WOULD use them again. Thanks!

Good Quality, Save For The Plastic
Haven't even taken it for a spin on the trail yet and one of the clasps that holds the tubing in place broke. Cheap plastic? It's part of the bottom flat piece, so the tube still stays in place. We'll see how well it does when I get to running and hiking. Overall, I like the design and comfortable fit. It seems well constructed otherwise. Storage is minimal, but plenty for me.I'll add a star if tubing stays in place after some actual use.EDIT: Tubing held on a 6 mile, 9 mile, and 5.5 mile hike with the slightly broken clasp. However, the star remains absent because the white part of the bag is already yellowing.

Great Product, Great Company
This is high-quality and exactly what I was looking for. In fact, it is even higher quality than its leading competitors. Not only was this brand less expensive to boot but the company donates a portion of the proceeds to the Water Project, to improve peoples' lives and health. They also sent a lovely thank you note via email. I'm not only pleased with the product but the company as well! I would recommend them to anyone.

Great value!
I ordered this product to keep me hydrated during my various summer outings: hiking, kayaking, and bike riding. So far, I've used it several times and I am more than satisfied. The backpack is lightweight, easy to use, and made from overall durable material. In addition to the water bladder, I am able to store my keys and other small items in the backpack. It has exceeded my expectations and has great value for the price. I am purchasing a couple more for my parents who are going on a long hiking trip later this summer.

Fantastic Experience. The Best Hydration Backpack on the Market!
The Water Buffalo Road Runner is the best hydration backpack on the market. Hands down!Whether I am going camping, marathon training, or biking, this backpack is coming with me. Very easy to fill up with the beverage of your choice. Tons of compartments for phones, keys, and clothings. A perfect all in one hydration pack and backpack. Great way to stay hydrated at all times and efficient for all types of athletic and family events. The backpack is very durable and built for all weather conditions. Right now, I am using it 4-5 times per week and it satisfies all my needs. I will continue to follow the Water Buffalo brand for new products.

Great product well worth the money. Looking forward to using it for a long time.
Received it yesterday and took it out for a spin on my bike this morning. It was very light weight and it was so much easier than having to reach down and grab the water bottle and then trying to stuff it back in the holder when riding. I highly recommend the product. My only suggestion would be to the company, it would be great if some brief instructions were included. It is somewhat self explanatory but for first time users it takes some time to realize the tubing is fed through the arm support at the top - I was looking or expecting a specific hole the tube would be fed through.

I very seldom write reviews, but I thought the Water Buffalo deserved a review.
I very seldom write reviews, but I thought the Water Buffalo deserved a review. When I think of a hydration water pack, I think of functionality, capacity to hold water, and compartments. In terms of functionality, this water pack serves its purpose. It is compact and well manufactured to withstand any damage. I took this bad boy on my Colorado trip where I fell many times on my back while snowboarding and the water reservoir managed to stay intact. The packs capacity to reserve water comes at 2 liters and is plenty for an outdoor activity. As for the bags compartments, I found it very handy to store my sunglasses, snacks, and gloves.Comparing the subject water pack to my CamelBak, the CamelBak has a run for its money. Overall, the Water Buffalo is compact, very light, has extra pockets, and is cheap.
