Best money I’ve spent on a set of these so far!
This is a dang good set! I do custom leatherwork, in my down time on the ranch, and I make a lot of holsters, sheaths, wallets, and purses. It was a hobby that grew horribly out of control and now I have more orders than I can stand. Anyways, I digress. So I found myself a needin quite a few of these various sized and grit sandin drums, so bought this here set for my Dremel and my knockoff Dremel. I honestly was not expectin everything that came with this set and was plum tickled when I found my self a needin extra mounting drums and collets on very short notice. I’ll be danged if they wasn’t already included in this set! These sanding drums don’t last too long, but I’m more than happy when they last through one project. I change them out new before startin a project anyways. I highly recommend this set if’n you need a whole bunch of these and tend to swap em out before each project. They are a dang lifesaver in leather workin! I’ll be back when I need some more of em!

Great value
There are several things I like about this product. First, there are three mandrels for each grit grade. Instead of changing the sleeves on the mandrels as I am working, I simply change out the mandrel with the grit I need. There was also several extra mandrels of each size. The only problem I had with them is that most mandrels are 1/8" while the others are a smaller size. There are however two collets, one for each size, and I have two tools so I keep a different collet in each one so this is a minor problem. The sleeves are very durable. I primarily use them for shaping brass bolsters on knives. They do the job efficiently and last long enough that I can do one entire knife, something two, with one sleeve.. One problem was that the different grits were packaged loose in a clear plastic bags with the grit rating on the bag. I bought a small set of storage trays with dividers, added a label to each for the grit rating, and stored them accordingly. They are now easy to find and use. If you do a lot of grinding with a Dremel type tool these are a really great buy.

Mixed Feelings
The good news: the mandrels fit and work well with the Dremel 4300 with flex shaft (which is what I have). The mandrels that came with this set all fit into both collet types that I have, and the sanding drums themselves are of decent quality. For every 10 drums in the pack, there were only 1 or 2 with defects. In a pack this large, I'd call that acceptable. Bad news: the sanding drums DO NOT fit onto the Dremel brand mandrels. This would be ok, except that the mandrels this set comes with are slanted on the end that enters into the Dremel bit. This concerns me for obvious reasons. I managed to find one single mandrel that was less slanted than the others and used that with success. However, worry about using a mandrel with a slanted bottom, so I will be looking for another solution. Overall: Personally, I would not buy these again because of the slanted mandrels and the fact that the drums themselves dont work with the Dremel brand. If the drums had fit onto the Dremel mandrels (which are all flat) I would say that this pack is WELL worth the money. But since the drums dont fit, leaving the slanted mandrels as the only option for using these drums, I dont think this is a good buy. BUT If you're ok with the slanted mandrels and just want the drums, I'd say it's a great buy! You get a lot of drums of varying grit and most have no defects. As I said, I have mixed feelings about this set. It could be a good buy, but if you're looking for drums to fit on a Dremel mandrel...this set probably wont work for you.

Great set
Great set. Especially with all the different grits and the 3 different sizes of shanks. It works great with my standard size Drexel, and my mini

Defective Product
Ordered the sanding drums and they are DANGEROUS!! I’m the middle of use, the come UNRAVELLED and shoot off the dremel Left welts on my arms and leg. Could easily, put out an eye. They gray and then zing off in any direction! Faulty merchandise. Do NOT PURCHASE! I guess, it’s true: You get what u pay for.

Cleaver design, good value.
I read a review that was unhappy the sanding drums didn't fit Dremel tools. The taper in the drums that make you use these mandrels is very cleaver. Should the drums, (paper) become lose, the taper holds them in place longer than straight walled versions. I like this very much. I find myself stripping screw heads less trying to keep the drums tight, and my 6 year old grandson can change drums as the screw heads don't need to be so overly tightened. Wear of the paper seems reasonable. Grip of the collets is fine. We work with wood no harder than dried silver maple. It might be different for those working with much harder wood. A good value for a tool that works as expected. I'm very pleased, my grandson is also enjoying woodworking.

They Will Fly Apart On you
I gave these three stars, they work for a few minutes, and work well but inevitably they will fly apart on you every time. It's good that they come with so many of them, you are going to need them. I wouldn't purchase these again, there is a reason they are so cheap.

Great kit for the price
The mandrels come with two shank sizes. The larger size works perfectly in my Dremel tool. They provide a ferrule that probably adapts the smaller shank to Dremel size. I used the 400 grit sleeves to deburr punched lightening holes in aircraft aluminum brake pedal parts. The sleeves load up with aluminum after about a dozen holes in 1/8" thick 6061-T6, but there are so many mandrels and so many sleeves provided in the kit that I just load a batch of sleeves onto a batch of mandrels and swap them out as necessary.
