Great Additions To My Lionel Train Yard
I have a total of 4 of these Bachmann Water Towers, and they are great additions to my setup. The steam engines of those days, were thirsty machines, that needed a lot of water, which was boiled to make steam. This Water Tower looks just like the one that I saw in the post - World War II, Lionel Train Catalog. Assembly was very easy. The plastic parts come in perfect colors. All that I needed was some Super Glue, which is readily available at many stores. The finished Water Towers were the perfect size too. Just right for filling the Locomotive Tenders of my 2 trains. I highly recommend that other people try adding this nice Water Tower to their model train layouts. Great, real-life visual addition, for a small sum of money!

Quality Product By Bachmann
You definitely need glue to put this model together. It looks awesome on my layout. The O Scale seems small for my ON30. I created a small raised area with shaper sheet and plaster and it fits perfectly and really enhances my railroad. It clears the train and stack but the passenger cars come close to hitting the spout if it isn't raised. I recommend this for your layout especially when you compare the price of this water tower to others.

Much Worse Than You Expected
Item is advertised as looking weathered, intricate, and well crafted. What you'll receive is an item that is tiny, bland, and extremely cheap. Plastic parts are thin, flimsey and do not hold together. The item arrives in pieces and you'll need to assemble it, which is not difficult except the fit is generally poor and you'll need to glue everything together. If you forego the glue, the item falls apart to the slightest touch. I would estimate this item costs less than fifty cents to manufacture. Consider yourself informed.

Looks good, but smallish for "O" Guage
Good price, easy to put together, looks authentic. Small for "O" Guage , but I will keep it.

OK, but colors don't match image
Item has a light brown roof, spout, ladder and girders (versus grey / chrome depicted). The tank is grey (versus the brass color depicted).Easy to put together, though the structure just sits on the black base (it does not attach to it in any way).Mine arrived with the spike at the very top broken off...rather than return it, I just used some super glue...Overall, it's OK...I would rate it higher if the colors were as presented...you can of course paint it...

O scale Water Tower is priced right.
For those who say this water tower is not O scale, I beg to differ! After assembly I measure the complete tower and it came out to a little over 26 scale feet in height. I am building a O scale layout (steam era) and have found it to be an excellent addition. When placed next to my older round rail track, it looks like it belongs there. When I bring the engine and tender to it, the spout easily clears them and comes within 4 scale feet of the water tank hatch on the tender. When scale compared to my HO water tower, they are about the same height (26 scale feet).Yes you will need to glue the pieces together for it to become structurally sound. But that is a small price to pay for an excellent product. As far as looks are concerned, that's what model paints are for and one of the reasons I bought this. I'll weather it and it will look great! The price for this is right. It is excellent for beginning modelers and will and a touch of realism to your layout!

Bachmann Train Water Tower/ 0 scale
In the description, it says that this water tower is 0 scale. I purchased it. Assembly was easy and I started my layout. As I purchased more 0 Scale buildings and started laying down my track, I set the water tower by the track and ran the locomotive by it. One thing is for sure.....this is NOT 0 Scale!!! LOL! Way too small. I would say that it is HO scale. It is not Amazon's fault....it is Bachmann's fault for selling a product that is not correct scale. Luckily for me, a friend is working on an HO layout and it looks good on it. I recently purchased a Lionel water tower and that is the REAL DEAL!!!!
