Disappointing, not exactly what I thought they were.
Okay, I am going to admit that the reason I am disappointed in these is partly my own fault for not being as diligent as I usually am when buying items from Amazon.I was after the automatic drinkers that are used with buckets and tubs etc, the ones where you drill holes and pop the drinkers through and tighten up with nut from inside.These however are not that type, though they could be if you bought some back nuts separately.It's not at all clear in the description about that actual application that these drinkers are intended so this is where I place part of the blame on the seller.These drinkers do not come with back nuts and from what I can gather they are to be used with pvc piping and special t-pieces with a threaded outlet.I believe the threads to be 1/8" bsp although slightly undersized and I probably could just buy some back nuts, preferably stainless steel or plastic (don't want the chickens drinking rusty water) but I won't, I'll just order some that are specifically for the purpose that are intended.So in summary, and to prevent anyone from making the same mistake as I did, if you are looking for these to fit to a tub to make a DIY drinker, these are not the ones and look elsewhere.

Works well and doesn’t leak
Only took my chickens an hour or so to work out how to release the water. No leaks, so I’m very happy.
