Good puller, bit rough round the edges
Does the job, easy to use. Finishing is a bit rough and fits the price point.

Function and form are perfectly harmonised in Estwings gorgeous nail puller. Quality manufacturing has produced an extremely desirable and very functional piece of kit. Pulls all nails with ease and causes minimal damage whilst doing so. The blue grip matches the Shock Reduction Grip that's found on Estwing hammers and is very comfortable on the hand. Replacing the floorboards in a roughly average sized room caused no issues, took minimal time and left me feeling like it wasn't me that was finished, just the job. Easily recommended. On a side note... I'm very happy that Estwing chose to have their Japanese pattern nail puller made (by experts) in Japan. Moshi mosh.

It reaches the nails that other devices could not reach.
I was able to remove nails from old shiplap board without too much damage to the board. And in very awkward place between shed and neighbours wall. It raised nail head to enable use of claw hammer

KNOCK OFF ESTWING!!
False advertising. This is not an estwing this is Japanese rip off. Nothing like my original estwing, heavier very square edges just feels wrong in the hand will probably lose it before it is fully tested but doubt it will last.

This thing is great, we building a house and this is a must have for pulling nails, and being newbie DIYers this is one our most used tools. Rubber handle is nice, only down side we’d say is it doesn’t fit in our leather dewalt tool pouch slots cause of the rubber handle size, so it ends up living on the floor, but this is very minor, having the comfort of the handle out ways this.

Valeu a pena a compra.

A cool little tool that many DIYers might not know existed until they needed it (true for me anyway). Sort of like a mini crowbar, but purpose specific. Works great. Very sturdy. No signs of damage or wear after a first-use dealing with removing 20 or so old decking nails. Don't forget your eye protection. It's comfortably long enough to get some nails out by itself, but usually you'll need to tap it with a hammer, or switch to the claw end of the hammer to finish finish removing the nail. It takes some practice to avoid scarring the wood excessively, if you plan to reuse the materials. Possibly a longer version could be used alone, but then it wouldn't fit for tight spaces. But I wouldn't go much shorter either, unless you're only dealing with trim nails. Even at this optimal size, it still takes some effort to remove nails sunk into dense wood like pressure-treated lumber-- I wouldn't have wanted to try with, say, the little 6" version. Estwing is a brand I'll seek out for hand tools, and this catspaw is no exception. Recommended.
