The business was initially started in 1808 by Late Lala Harnarain and later in 1940, Late Gokalchand Ji split the business with his brothers and the shop was named after him. They used to manufacture and trade Pickles, Murabba (Preserves) and Sharbat (Syrups). Today, the third generation of the family runs the business and they've ensured to retain the quality, taste and deep rooted sentiments inherited from their forefathers.

These are very good, but I was disappointed they claimed to contain lotus root but did not
The jars are plastic and don't seal very well, so they seep oil, but they are very tasty and I enjoyed them.
