Very cute for any Tar Heels Fan!
My daughter really liked these since she's a Carolina girl. We haven't had them long enough to comment on whether they tarnish or anything like that, but first impressions are they're just a cute pair of earrings. About 3/8" tall and wide, and they could definitely decorate a lapel or hat or anything like that too.

Not bad for the price but...
I got them to give as a gift. They look just as pictured. The only thing I'm not thrilled about is the packaging. It comes in a plastic bag. I was poked just opening the poly mailer it came in.

I received these earrings just thrown in a box with a heavy item and it caused the posts to be bent pretty bad. Also if you look at the picture it looks as though there are cut outs in between the letters there are NONE fits just a very cheap piece of junk.
