Komodo Krupuk Udang

I ordered these from the seller Cali Cove Trading Company.. I’m so happy to have found these chips on amazon because my local Asian market is no longer selling them. They arrived mostly in tact, a couple pieces have broken in thirds but I actually break up the chips up prior to cooking anyways.So happy, I just placed an order for 2 more bags!The taste of these chips are slightly fishier than the normal shrimp chips... the first time I cooked them I hated them: I undercooked them and they tasted so fishy. Make sure to cook them on medium heat until golden on both sides for the best tasting chips!To store them, place in a thick zip lock bag or airtight container. It should last at least a week.. unfortunately, my family eats that quicker than I can cook them or store them.. haha YUMM!

This Krupuk kindles good childhood memories for us. Even more important to us is that one of our grandsons likes this treat so much that he requests a whole pack for himself every birthday. The Krupuk might not be a cookie, but it's still the best piece in the cookie jar. Taste, consistency, and preparation ease are tops. Just our opinion, but we have yet to meet any guest who doesn't agree with our assessment ...

Very disappointed when my kerupuk arrived.. I had been so excited to receive this and when I opened it all the chips inside are completely broken. It’s not worth making as they won’t really be chips once they are prepared..

I love this shrimp crackers! Mine came with small broken pieces and yet it's the best taste shrimp crackers I have tasted in US. Super yummy! but prices of Amazon's sellers are charging "way too high"! I've found this same product in Indonesia Store online and other Asian Store and they all have lower prices. Prices varies from $3.65 to $3.69. Makes me wonder why these stores can sell this same product lots cheaper than Amazon. Hmmm...

This is the legit krupuk I grew up eating! Flavors are amazing and it is really easy to make!Just toss into some hot oil and VOLIA!

These are my second-favorite brand of shrimp chips I've tried from Amazon. They fry up large - 6x8"? - and are a bit sturdier than the Giant Crab chips I reviewed, before. Denser. A decent flavor, although not quite as "shrimpy" as I like them. I would definitely buy them again if I couldn't get the Giant Crab ones, and I can see where others may like them better! They need the hour's rest, as well, after they are fried - NOT just to cool, but because magic happens and improves the flavor and texture exponentially in that hour! The "Golden Hour", redefined...? 😜 Try them! The price is good, and they don't charge you extra shipping if you buy two packets. Yay!

The package of komodo udang arrived with many cracked chips since it is not well padded. However because I so long for this, the cracked chips don't bother me. I cook it in a microwave. It's not as evenly cooked as frying them, but it's a lot less greasy and a lot more convenient. I used to buy them in a local asian grocery store but they stopped selling them for unknown reason. Now I can only buy them on amazon at a higher price and with many cracked chips. But I'm hooked on this snack.

I'm going to be honest here. These aren't anything fantastic and are overpriced as far as I'm concerned.I couldn't wait to get them but when I did cooking them was the best part.They're very hard to cook perfectly, if you leave them in for a 5 seconds too long they become hard and chewy to the point they're inedible.The taste is just "okay" but after two or three chips they lose their charm and you find yourself not wanting anymore.Beware cooking any amount of these will stink up the entire house. We couldn't get the smell out for 3 whole days and the smell is not pleasant. It's a lot like burnt rubber.If you're just looking for a fun party snack with an asian theme than go ahead and get them but don't be surprised when people complain about the smell or ask what they're supposed to taste like as they definitely don't taste like shrimp and at $8 a bag they are not cheap.
