A good clean up of the body and back of the ...
Bought this for my son who is moving up from a 1/2 sized classical guitar. The first one arrived damaged. However, Amazon sent a new one out the next day (very impressed). I was lucky to get this for around £30 on Amazon at the time. The build quality is ok, being of fully laminated construction. These are made in China (as most budget level guitars are these days) and there are some rough bits on the matt finishes. The guitar also had a bit of buzz on the high E string. Intonation was ok and the action was a bit on the high side; but acceptable from the box. A good clean up of the body and back of the neck with a Scotchbrite pad took away the rough finishing and applying some oil on the fret board and the bridge helped things also. The action was lowered slightly and the strings have been replaced with a set of Augustine black. This guitar does have a voice; not the longer sustain and deeper warmth of a more expensive solid top guitar, but it is lively enough to play and I am surprised at what you can get for your money these days. Given the fact that your child grows and there will be another guitar coming along in a few years, this is a good option. Please keep in mind that you may need to check over your purchase well before accepting.

Good decent guitar.
I bought this guitar at a good price and I love the colour. I have several expensive guitars which I have to keep locked up because one of my cats bites wood. This is one I got for a quick practice and I wasn't too worried if it got a few teeth marks. However, the guitar deserves better than that. Good sound, lovely colour and the black binding really gives it some style. 4* because there are two small imperfections on one of the sides in the paint finish, nothing to bother me. Yes, a very good guitar all round.

A nice little guitar for the money
This is a nice guitar. Very good for a beginner, or a dabbler like me. I've played on and off over the years and decided to take it up again, so I was looking for something reasonably priced that would be of adequate quality. I've tuned it and had a bit of a strum and it's quite easy to play. The action is at a good level (not too high - I have had experience of guitars with high action and I struggled to play them). The guitar is light weight and easy to handle. It doesn't have a strap button on the base, so I ordered one. But all in all I'm satisfied with it. I did read one of the reviews that said that the edges of the frets are a bit sharp, and I have to agree, but it hasn't spoiled my experience of the guitar overall

Lovely guitar for a young learner
Bought this for an eight year old who will need a full size guitar in a couple of years, so no point spending a fortune on a junior sized one.Nice finish and decent sound. As far as we can tell so far, fretboard is well constructed and accurately calibrated.

Almost as expected... but bright orange!
The colour is a bright orange. It's not what is pictured here. Be aware. There were also nicks in the wood, but seeing as it's for a 9yo, it will get a few of those anyway. The sound is fine and will work as expected until he has improved enough for a bigger/better guitar.
