Truly Superb Ear Plugs
Wow! I normally only write reviews when items are useless. These earplugs are brilliant! They fit my ear canals perfectly and really do reduce the noise levels at concerts. The ear plugs can be worn comfortably for many hours and easily stay in place.Initial impressions did not seem good. The ear plugs looked flimsy and poorly made. This could not be further from the truth. They are perfectly formed to allow you to hear speaking and music clearly albeit at a lower volume. After going to a concert where the music went on for over 4 hours, my ears were fine whereas my wife's ears were ringing (she didn't want a pair of these ear plugs).I am sure some people will love these whilst others will hate them. The smaller size provided really work well for me. If in any doubt, try them out and give them a chance.I promise I am not being paid to say this - neither did I receive a free pair to evaluate.

They work really well for gigs.
They work. I've used them at two loud metal gigs and they reduce noise, but keep the higher frequencies so you can hear the singers/keyboards etc. without getting ear damage from the overall volume. They're not amazingly comfortable, but not uncomfortable enough that they distracted me at all. Way, way better than foam which dull the sound. First time I used them I wasn't sure they were working as the sound was coming in OK, then I removed them and they very definately were. Stood not too far from some very loud speakers and left with absolutely no ringing or loss of hearing.

Great Value!!
So I bought these long ago as I started to develop mild symptoms of tinnitus, as a result of a typical teenager like me blasting loud music without a care in the world and recently starting to go to nightclubs and what not.As I also dabble in music production, I knew that I needed something to protect my ears from damage when going to clubs or any live concerts. These have been excellent in doing so. I went clubbing once with these in and made the music much, much more tolerable and safer. Obviously, it was still very loud but not as bad as them out. Even afterwards my ears did not experience any ringing of the sort which was a first. They are discrete and barely even noticeable to anyone who sees you if you are also thinking about that aspect. Overall very happy with my purchase and I highly recommend these!

The Acid Test - Swans
Bought these in advance of seeing 'Swans' live, so glad I did. They come in a handy cylinder with a belt clip, are comfortable to wear one you get the right size, and easy to retrieve. They knock about 10 db off the received volume without muffling or compromising the quality of the sound. Gives some protection against high frequencies too, but in between songs it was possible to have a conversation without removing them.Took a 2 and a half hour sonic battering from Swans, not ten feet away from Mr Gira, and had no tinnitus afterwards, despite every object in my pockets vibrating like a phone on silent mode. Great buy (and amazing concert).

Not bad
I bought these for going to concerts and I was able to go right down the front at a rock gig and not have my ears ringing the next day. The noise fidelity was good and reduces 20dB which isn't as much as other products out there but is probably about enough. The first problem I had was that I couldn't get them out of the cylinder as they'd stuck together at the bottom and I had to bang the whole thing on the floor of the venue just to get them out. The other was that I think one was faulty as with really loud noises it would be crackle and be quite annoying. The problems are a bit of a shame as they're pretty good otherwise.

Great value
Comes with 2 sets of of earplugs, plus two little carry cases. Works really well at festivals, and if one doesn't fit your ear comfortably the other sure will. Reduces sound down well to a point everything is still extremely audible, would recommend.

Works well
As a theatre usher I use one ear plug to reduce excess noise in loud performances (the other ear has a radio receiver). These work far better than foam ear plugs. They’re robust, easy to insert, and block out screechy noises. They don’t stop me hearing speech, though I do remove the plug to speak to people. I keep the plastic holder in my bag - otherwise I’d be using the canister as it looks very strong.
