This set is a powerhouse. I used it to strip paint off a tile floor, and it worked like a charm. I have an aluminum skinned teardrop trailer that I built 11 years ago. I has a tongue box to hold the battery and tools. I had to rebuild the tongue box, replacing the wooden inner structure and re-using the original aluminum skin. Being on the tongue of the trailer, the box suffered a greater accumulation of road grime and dirt thrown up by the towing vehicle and the reused aluminum skin was unsightly. Once complete the outer skin had residual clear silicone sealer in addition to the road grime and oxidation that I couldn't clean with solvent or soap & water. I used a razor blade to clean the silicone residue and polished the skin with the red pads on a orbital sander. The pads removed the road grime and oxidation quite easily. The remnants of the silicone took a bit more work. For me, this was an experiment and I am very pleased with the results. The pads held up to aggressive use. Polishing with the red pads took away the fine scuffs I left with the sharp edge of the razor blade and the mill finish that originally came on the aluminum when it was new. In place of the mill finish the pads left an even, clean, flat finish (flat as in no reflective gloss). Once I reinstall the box, I'll give it a coat of automotive paste wax that will wear away and allow a patina to return that I expect will eventually match the patina of the main trailer body.

Best for light to medium rust cleaning. Works well on painted wood and steel for paint preparation of repainting. Works like steelwool but better without all the mess that steelwool makes.

I use these to clean the soap scope in my shower, to clean the stainless steel sinks that I have and they do an amazing job. I don’t really use all the pads so the variety didn’t really matter to me. They’re easy to use, a great value for the money. They seem to be well built and they’re very durable.

This scrubber set is pretty good. I would not use with an impact drill or a heavy duty drill, because it will snap the bit pretty easily. I use this set up to clean tile lines on pools and the second set I bought broke on the first pool. I’m going to try it on a regular drill and see if that helps. I keep buying them because the scrubbers and drill clean like nobody’s business. It’s just the durability that sucked.
