Fuel: Poems (American Poets Continuum Series)

Naomi Shihab Nye is an excellent poet with a unique perspective on the places and things America takes for granted. Her metaphors are often other-worldly. After getting a taste of her poetry in "Fuel", I will certainly order and read everything else she has written.

Naomi Shihab Nye brings a fascinating perspective as a Palestinian American poet. The cadences of her poetry are lovely, and insights filled with wisdom and integrity.

Ms. Naomi Shihab Nye (again) shows her expertise of story telling in the form of prose. Each poem is indeed a story.. wonderfully told.

I was distant at first, but the poetry caught me. I bookmarked it all over. Really nice reading experience. Will buy more

These poems have a depth and rhythm that a person who has not studied or enjoyed poetry would enjoy immensely. I read this book in one sitting and will undoubtedly return to them again and again.

Naomi Shihab Nye has a heart that is always broken open by the world she loves.
