I couldn't believe how quickly I read it. While some of it was predictable, what truly impressed me was how terrifically well the author got across the feelings Thomas had as he fell deeper and deeper into slavery to his wife. While he seemed to have a passing interest in domination on the internet, he surely found no fun in the reality. Yes he found something in being able to please his wife in a number of ways, but he feels himself more and more a slave. It is not a joyful existence. His one step across the line does not seem to warrant such total slavery especially when considering the enticement that few men could resist, but the years of neglect do merit such punishment. Both Thomas and Doreen seem to have lost the love they probably once had. Doreen's skill is awesome though perhaps she learns much from Ashley. I loved the contract being offered to the reader in full and not just referenced as so many authors do. I'm glad I have the sequel on my shelf to read (as I have read four of her books previously), but I am not hopeful for Thomas to have a bright future. But I must read of his journey and experience his feelings. The other thing that comes through so strongly is the knowledge of the author in the power a Mistress can have. If one wants to really experience what it is like to be a slave to a Mistress, one can't help but realize that Mistress Benay would be fully capable of doing so and the whole book becomes a sort of enticement, but one that the reader comes away feeling very apprehensive even thinking about. And yet is one drawn to ponder? A vicarious read no doubt, but more than that seeps into the mind. Laura Anne Lynn Review: Why - What is this requiring words bull s***. If i just want to give a number of stars that is what i do. Do not force me to do stuff i do not want (unless you are a domina).

I really loved this story
I really loved this story. I couldn't stop reading it. I like the boot/shoe worship however, I truly hope the author will incorporate open-toed heels and foot worship with polished toenails in a future novel of hers. Most of the outfits she describes are the same all of the time. Black leather skirt/dress, black stockings and black stiletto heels. Very nice indeed but I would like to see things mixed up a bit. Great reading!

While being a Femdom is great and you get all your needs met
The book was well written. However I worry about those that are not in BDSM community thy won't understand that certain information was left out. It was disturbing that there were no discussion about negotiation, hard limits, safety of the person tied up and more. While I under that it was a story and not a true story, I fear not every person reading the book will understand that certain protocols should be done to ensure that the slave is safe. It's the Dom's responsibility to protect the slave. While being a Femdom is great and you get all your needs met, it's still the responsibility to ensure that the slave is safe. There were multiple scenes I didn't feel that was the situation. There should be a disclaimer in the book.

A great read for anyone who is interested in a Female ...
Dominate women have always been attractive and alluring for me and this book really gets to the point. A great read for anyone who is interested in a Female Led Relationship. For me it could be a dream/nightmare come true. Mistress Benay is awesome. Hope one day I will be able to meet Her.

Great read.
While this work is fiction the subject matter is detailed in a real way by an author who pulls from a personal knowledge base. My only complaint would be that the story is too short however this is true of any work that is too good to put down. While it is a quick read it can easily be enjoyed again. I have already moved on to another work from Mistress Bena to continue the journey into her world of female superiority.

Excellent
The action in Mistress Benay's His Fall From Power is well paced, often creative, and woman centered. Her style to me is measured and softly worded, rising to a crescendo then deftly falling back to build again. His Fall From Power is right up there among erotica written for women, by women, but tops my two favorite authors of female erotica, Anne Rice and Pauline Reage as, here, the woman does not suffer for love, but commands it, demands it, and revels in the devotions a well trained male can provide. Now, I noticed something else in Mistress Benay's work, she is revealing secrets to the American woman who has still not found her rightful place in this new world. One secret or many is, most males have no foundation for positions or power and responsibility. So, when he rises to a position of real power his arrogance blossoms and then most begin to go astray under the stress. They drink too much, resort to drugs or pornography, and other women, all to the growing exclusion of their better half. It is almost as if they need to be punished and become vulnerable, exquisitely and exploitably vulnerable, which can put them humbled at the feet of the very women they felt entitled to exclude.
