So, to be totally honest, I stumbled on this mesh from the YouTuber AlfieAesthetics. Alfie is an outdoors enthusiast who uses this mesh as a cheapo fire grill. If you set four tent pegs beneath it, it works well for boiling a stainless steel water bottle or frying small portions of food (squirrel legs, fish, etc.).The mesh isn't exactly stable, though. The individual wires aren't tied or welded down in any way, so they can move around. Furthermore, the ends are kind of pokey. To fix these issues, I took a pair of pliers with narrow tips and bent each end of the wire down and looped them over the supporting wire. This got rid of the pokey ends and kept the mesh's wires from sliding around. It's also much more stiffer now and holds up a bottle of water much better.The mesh weighs almost nothing and takes up practically zero space. If you're a backpacker and you need a small grill that won't weigh you down, consider one of these.

It's a simple piece of wire mesh. The wire is kind of braided but will slide all over the place if you don't tack it down. I bought it as a makeshift small grill top for camping. Here's the sad news... The ends are super sharp and will poke through and cut your gear. So I painstakingly took some pliers and bent over each wire end down (45 minutes) and crimped it carefully. This added stability to the mesh and made it less damaging, but they still act like "little hooks" instead of "little pokers". Overall I can see it snagging on stuff and poking and tearing, so I'm not sure I'll every want to put it in a pack. Overall, it is what it is... a simple wire mesh square.

Using it as a little grill for my bug out bag.

Kitchen Aid placed the flatware holder too close to the heating element in our dishwasher. I cut this with sheet metal shears to fit inside the bottom of the last three compartments that were directly over the heating element. It worked great. Now knife blades and silverware handles stay inside the compartments instead of dropping thru the bottom of the plastic flatware holder.

I was a little surprised to learn that the wires in this mesh were not welded or otherwise fastened in place. In that regard, I'd expected that it would be more like rabbit wire. The interweaving and how the wires are bent is all that holds them in place. This made it a little more difficult to construct the basket I was trying to build for my ultrasonic cleaner, but overall this seems to be a high quality item.

Hard to complain, this product seems to be exactly as promised. Purchased to use in combination with tent pegs for small, ultralight grill replacement for hiking. So far it has held up just fine.

Not what I was expecting. I needed welded mesh for the particular job. These are loose threads and do not hold shape. Not well described in the description. Lesson learned.

Have used this in the dishwasher to stop the knives and teaspoons from falling through the enlarged holes in the plastic basket, and works a treat. Has been in for around 2 months now, and still as shiny looking as when it was first put in. Quality stainless steel. If you need to cut it, it's not easy due to the quality of the steel, so you'll need a proper cutting tool.

Perfect for making peanut bird feeders but be warned this stainless steel mesh is murder to cut, I resorted to a hammer and chisel on concrete, lol.Might be better to order it pre-cut to the right size from the company.Its top quality mesh.

Good product. Successfully used to repair the base of a dishwasher cutlery basket that the plastic base of which keeps breaking up and the cutlery falls through stopping the spinning spray bar from rotating...

I used it for a bird feeder, worked perfectly.
