Glad I didn't give up, Enter Tono & Pure Red Phoenix Magic
I have read every word that Red Phoenix has written and am heartbroken to give this book less that 5 stars. I almost gave it 3 stars because it was excruciating getting through Faelan and Mary in the first part of this book but then comes Tono, Marquis and the rest of the gang to save the day!!!! Faelan with Mary is the weakest, wimpiest "dom" I can imagine. She continuously tops from below and he doesn't handle her bratiness except for one time and it seems out of place and awkward. Mary is my least favorite character in the series, I still don't know how she got into the Submissive Training Center or how she graduated. She is a brat all of the time and a switch who tops every chance she gets. Mary needs a firm but loving hand and Faelan just didn't deliver. She actually needs the type of dominant Sir was with Brie when they first got together. But, Mary leaves and Faelan returns to his friends from the Training Center and The Haven showing that the charismatic, imaginative, clever master is still alive and well. He has a couple of scenes at The Haven that are pure Red Phoenix gold. Once the entire Training Center "scooby gang's" story has been told I would love to visit The Haven as a series similar to KD Robichaux's Club Alias. But I digress. I couldn't stop reading as the intrigue around Lilly and Rytsar unfolded bringing all of the Training Center family straight to Sir's hospital room and it was a delicious treat to visit with everyone. I am so pleased to see Sir recovering and growing a bit stronger each day as Brie's baby bump grows too. There is a classic Marquis scene with his magical flogger and I look forward to exploring his story with Celestia. Marquis has layers to his personality that I never saw coming but I love. As with the last few books there is a cliff-hanger, this time around Rytsar and his precarious future. I am counting the days to the next book.

The Wolfpup is a pup no more!
Every time I think I have read the best Red Phoenix book ever, she proves me wrong with the next one. Under His Protection is a perfect example. What an amazing story!Learning more about Faelan has long been something I’ve wanted. Now here is his story. And we get to peek into his life in a way we never have before. Wow! Just WOW!Todd Wallace has had a rough time living with the guilt of a car crash at age 16 that killed another young man. We’ve seen this in previous books, but we learn so much more in this one. A wonderful insight into his background and how it has influenced him today. And all the little details we never knew until now.Of course, Todd’s relationship with Mary is a focal point, too. It’s been a rollercoaster of emotions up to now, and it continues in the book. Todd is devoted to Mary. Is Mary devoted to Todd? She does love his brand of BDSM. Is that enough? It was also super fun to learn more about the infamous Marquis Gray. He is something of a mystery, and always has been. Unfortunately I came away with more questions than answers with this book. But what we learned was amazing! Marquis (however you pronounce that…) is a man of deep intelligence. He blew me away. And then the Russian. Rytsar has been taken away forcefully. Many are very worried about him. Todd has offered to help Rytsar with Lilly. Because Lilly is a story unto herself! Not a good story, but a story. The amount of old friends from the training center who are willing to help locate Rytsar is heartwarming! Seeing all the old Training Center friends gather again, united in a cause, made me smile. I wanted to wave to each and every one of them!It is SUCH a good thing that the next book comes out about one month after this one, so the end of August 2017 for Rytsar. There is so much built up in the story that I just have to know what happens next! Faelan has been riveting, and it’s only going to get better in the next book!Thank you to my favorite author, Red Phoenix, for listening to the muses and writing such a fabulous story! Like I said, each book is even better than the last. Under His Protection did not disappoint in any way. If you follow the saga of Brie, you can’t miss this one!

The Wolf Pup's story is finally revealed!
Todd Wallace has intrigued me from the first time he ran up to the house that Brie was in on the beach, trying to rescue her because he thought she was being held against her will. His training to become a Dominant wasn't always easy, and he made a lot of mistakes as a young, arrogant, inexperienced Dom. But he eventually started to find his way and made a name for himself as the Dom Faelan in the BDSM community.I was anxious to find out in his story if he was ever going to find the right woman who he could grow with and develop the type of Dom/sub relationship he sees all of the Doms he looks up to having with their partners.Reading about Todd's past and the events that occurred that changed his life forever was heartbreaking. How will he ever find true harmony, something he will need if he is to join in a true trusting relationship with a sub? Until he learns to forgive himself and set the darkness in his soul free, he will never find peace and his relationships will continue to suffer because of it.Seeing him step up to the plate to help Brie and Sir Davis, that was amazing. The family that was created out of the Submissive Center is truly a force to be reckoned with.I would be remiss if I didn't at least mention Mary, but I can't reconcile my feelings for her at this point so I am staying silent until more is revealed about her. Or maybe nothing else will ever be revealed with her, at which point I will formulate my opinion of her once and for all. I will say that Red has written her character fantastically, as she is probably the most complex character out of all of them.I was happy with how this story ended, leaving us with a couple of OMG moments and now nervously biting our fingernails leading us into the next book. Come on August 27th!!

Wow wow wow I didn’t see that coming Todd the accidental hero, could have knocked me down with a feather 😜I loved this story and I am so pleased we got to see his story and what a story. I can’t wait to see how he grows now in the coming books I have read this book and the last one in under 30hrs it’s after 2am now but I had to finish. Who needs sleep anyway when you get a good book series that has to be read 👍

This series goes from strength to strength
Another amazing book in this unbelievable series, I love where Red Phoenix has taken this series and it has gone from strength to strength, then just when you think it can't get any better it does. This book was a rollercoaster of emotions with some very sad revelations being revealed so be warned you will need tissues. I love how Faelan has grown up and changed so much throughout the series and this book gives us a deeper insight into his life. He has gone from being a trainee Dominant to become a true Master.

Under his Protection
Todd Wallace, known as Faelan, this is also a past and present POV story.WoW....How much has this character changed / matured over the series? His emotional story leaves you reeling. Surely there is only so much one person can go through.......Will he ever get his happy ever after ending? You just have to keep reading the series to find out!!So, So, So good.

Yet another emotional rollercoaster.
She never fails to make me laugh out loud, cry like a little girl, awe with my hand on my heart and upset that the book has ended. Faelans story broke my heart especially at the end. The final chapter really hurts even though I read the rest and know the out come. Brilliant chapter in Brie and friends tales. All are great stories but for those of you who understand what emotional pain can do to people, I think this stands out and brings home, that you do matter and can turn life around if you open up and give it a chance. Thank you Red xxx

Feels unfinished
Again I had to wait half the book before finding out what happens next following from the previous book. I also feel like there is too much Merry and not enough Kylie here. I did enjoy the insights into Fellan's past, however I do wish there was more drama with Trevor's parents and the town folks. It feels a bit like Fellan's story ended in the middle.
