Hip Holster for Ruger New Blackhawk with 6 1/2" Barrel

At first I felt the holster wasn't going to suit my needs but was incorrect. It's lighter than a leather holster, hangs well on my favorite belt, stays tight enough to my hip and strap is easy to snap off and doesn't snag. Holster stays in form when removing firearm and is flexible enough to accept firearm without it being perfectly centered. I have had holsters where you need to score a perfet bulls eye for the pistol to seat properly making it easy to snap back in place. I have some holsters that just refuse to make it easy, not this one.

Not fancy, but just wanted something inexpensive to carry my Blackhawk while hunting, and it serves that purpose just fine.

Overall, it's a great holster for large bore revolvers. I bought this for a Heritage Rough Rider .22LR/.22Mag with a 6.5 in barrel. The gun was a bit loose for this particular holster. Very durable construction. I left out one star because I lost one side of the velcro strap.

Basic nylon holster. Nothing super special but does what it's designed to do

Does not fit ruger pistol’s, 6 inch barrel is 1 -2 inches longer than holster making it impossible to snap strap across back of pistol

I use it to hold my Ruger .45Colt or my Ruger .357 revolver. the 357 has a 6 1/2" barrel and the 45Colt has a 7 1/2" barrel. It holds each equally well.

Fits a ruger blackhawk and a colt python nicely. Thumb snap is easily adjustable.
