I'm getting an AT2035, I need a way to get the XLR to USB will this mixer work?

AT2035 - that's a condenser mic, right? This mixer has Phantom Power to power the mic (we use a Behringer B-1) so yes. We are using ours to record voiceovers. Mic into XLR, USB to computer.

can you use two karaoke microphones at the same time?

yes, but not recommended or not sounding very good.. the one input slot does take a plug (1/4"; 6.35mm) other than the XLR.. either type is acceptable or interchangeable.. i've tested it with a 1/4" wireless microphone receiver plug and it works fine. . the wireless receiver plug allows two microphones per a receiver unit.

Can the phantom-power in xlr mic-in connection be turned off for microphones that don't require it?

Much the same question as mine. What if you have a USB mic with phantom power. Will that create "overload" if plugged into this interface which supplies its own phantom power?

Even tho condenser mics recommend 48V boost, do you find the Behringer 302 "adequate" to drive a condenser mic?
