Great pair of shoes and worth the price. This is my second pair, as sketchers store no longer carried them, took me a while to find them. Light, comfortable and soft on your feet. I wear a 10.5 wide and these fit me perfect.

Sketchers makes a pretty decent shoe, and these Escape Plan fit and feel great. They come in wide, which is nice, but I have found they also offer great arch support (I have high arches) and resist my foot's outward roll (supination) quite well. The first pair I bought came to me on time as usual (thanks Amazon), I put them on right away and they felt great until a few hours later I was walking along and it felt like my shoes came untied, but it was actually the top loop of the shoe that holds the shoe string that ripped off. Disappointed, I sent them back and had no trouble receiving an in-kind replacement from Amazon (again, thanks Amazon). However, this is the unfortunate part where I have no idea WHY I did this but while checking out for the replacement I selected my old address for the delivery location but of course did not catch it until it was too late...... I got the notification that my shoes had been delivered, opened the front door and couldn't find the box, so I checked the delivery confirmation message you get from Amazon. The delivery person had taken a photo of the delivered box in front of a door that looked familiar, but something wasn't quite right, until I realized why it looked wrong - I hadn't gone through that front door in years! This story does not end happily where I nervously approach the old place, knock on the door and get greeted with my missing box. No, instead I am greeted with confusion and no clue of what I am referring to; so either the Amazon box thief gnome that knew my soon-to-be-favorite shoes were inside and stole them before I had the pleasure of wearing them, or sometimes people suck; I will catch that gnome oneday, and he will be sorry he took my shoes. Until then I have deleted that old address and that, kids, is the moral of this story: DOUBLE CHECK YOUR DELIVERY ADDRESS WHILE CHECKING OUT!

I have had 12+ pairs of Skechers with memory foam. These tie with the Skechers Vigor Durango for being the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. Skechers really has structure and cushioning figured out. At about 300 lbs and having a job with a lot of standing, I am very hard on shoes. I bought these specifically for a multi-country trip that was going to require a lot of walking in all types of conditions. These fit true to size (13 wide), and don't have any weird fitment issues or hot spots. Haven't tried snow or ice, but they have more grip than expected on everything from mud and wet logs to restaurant tile. Heel reinforcements are pretty good, but they need to be laced tightly for anything steep (the fabric sides stretch a lot). My only complaint is that the extremely soft rubber tread on the soles wears very quickly and punctures easily. Unless you are one of the lucky few who always has shoes wear evenly, the uneven wear will quickly affect posture and make the shoes feel unstable. Using a slightly more durable rubber for the tread (even at the expense of grip), would be a huge improvement.

Biggest thing they wear well & good quality. They were his favorites until we found Sketches Ultra Deluxe sneakers. The escape plan shoe doesn't provide enough cushion over time for a heavy walker. He gets hardened skin spot on the bottom of his foot once the shoe has gone thru heavy use. Now uses for yard work only. It's a good shoe for the money. For normal use it's a comfortable, quality shoe. New sneaker we found & just got most comfortable shoe hes ever wore. No idea how will hold up but weights a lot less than the escape I'm reviewing.

These shoes are easily the best I've owned. They've lasted far longer than any other shoe I've owned, are a great value, and are very comfortable!

I had a pair of these that I bought at a Skechers store near me. They are durable, comfortable, resist water, and look nice with casual clothing. I received compliments from people when I wore them.

I have a foot drop condition in my left leg/foot. It causes excruciating pain due to a continual build - up of a pressure callus. Most shoes I've tried, even so-called wide width shoes, do not allow enough width comfort to stop putting pressure on the callus. What an incredible relief these shoes are! Giving comfort to that area and allowing me to be on my feet, walking, for 5-6 hours... Versus the 30-60 minutes other shoes allow. I'm very grateful to have found these shoes! BTW... They also give much needed stability to my foot sole when walking, reducing the over-supination tendency of my ankle! Deep breath here!
