Schluter is my go-to for porcelain tile
Just a DYI'er and I am pretty sure this will be my last tile job. But since discovering Schluter's products, I would never use anything else. As long as you have a flat, level floor, this stuff goes down pretty easily and is great for holding Schluter's lovely thinset and placing tile. I did have to do some leveling of the floor in my master bathroom, but after that was finished, it all went smoothly. Once you decide on what you want to put down, read up/watch videos on floor prep and DON'T SKIP ANY STEPS. Thank you, Amazon for a good price and delivery on an excellent product.

Pricey but works very well.
I love this stuff. It's a tad bit pricey but it helps make a beautiful, waterproof tile floor. Ditra installs quickly and easily. I did not install the joint dealing tape except in the bathrooms where it will definitely get wet and the subfloor needed to be sealed. The only hiccup I had was when I ran out of thinset and had to mix up another batch halfway through a large section of Ditra. I should have cut the Ditra and finished what I could before running out of thinset, rather than doing what I did, which was to finish what I could (without cutting the Ditra) and then came back a few minutes later and continued with the same section. I was trying to minimize joints since it was a bathroom where I desired the waterproof qualities. The result was a slightly uneven section of Ditra. The unevenness was fixed during tile installation but it could have been easily prevented had I simply cut the Ditra and installed it in 2 sections rather than a single section with a time gap in the middle for thinset preparation. I would definitely buy this again.

Great deal but not sure if I'll use again
I purchased this based on a recommendation. It was much easier to put down than cement board. Make sure to use the glue from the manufacturer or drying time will be greatly increased. I was able to cut with scissors so it was very easy to put down. Time will tell if it works as well as cement board. Wait time was stated as 72 hours, at 24 hours some of the tile was not stable yet.

Was pretty easy to install
Really didn't want to pay for this but it gives me the peace of mind with my DIY tile job. Was pretty easy to install. I didn't do a perfect job on my seams and you can see a couple tiles bump about 1/16" vertically because of it. If I installed it again I would make sure to spend extra time on the seams to make sure they're perfectly flat so install of the tile goes smoother. Beyond that, great product - just hate paying more than $1/sqft for some install materials.

Customer service is top notch!
If you're looking at Ditra you already know what to expect, the quality is great at a great price. I want to praise the customer service team as I got worried about shipping on an expensive to me purchase of 10 rolls. They quickly responded and we're incredibly kind and helpful. Makes me glad to do business with them.

Ditra installation
I have seen this product used by Mike Holmes. I figure, if he endorses a product, it's good enough for me. Since I never pay attention to instructions, my bad, I just install something the way it makes sense for me. Well, I put it in upside down. While it was drying, I searched the web to see if anyone else had made the same mistake. I found one guy, but after chatting with the EXPERTS he pulled it up. Well. being a stubborn individual, I decided to leave it down the way it was. Dried rock solid. I installed porcelain tile over the upside down Ditra and am very happy with the outcome.
