Rapidesign Lettering Aid Template, 1/8, 5/32, 3/16, 1/4 Inch Sizes, 1 Each (R925),Green

30 years ago I used a device similar to this when I was an apprentice, changing electrical prints. It keeps everything you write straight and uniform in size. I bought this to write addresses on envelopes, and it works well. This device is of sufficient thickness to stay firmly in place when I use it, and seems very durable. I find that my penmanship is much better now, even when I don’t use it. This is a well made device.

I used to maintain the financial records of a large corporation, many years before the age of calculators and computers. The Chartpak Rapidesign Lettering Guide was a Godsend, in keeping the letters and numbers legible and on a straight line. Several years thereafter, I took Engineering Drawing and Drafting in college - again, the Chartpak Rapidesign Lettering Guide was a blessing in blocked lettering and completing the drawings. Still to this day, I use the Chartpak Rapidesign Lettering Guide to write side notes in my lessons, and when it is necessary to write a check or a bank draft. The Chartpak Rapidesign Lettering Guide has been by my side for the past 55 years. Thank you Rapidesign.

The original lettering guide, as pictured, is a thick, clear green, solid plastic. There's a bevel on one side of each slot opening to allow for use of an ink pen so the ink won't wick under the template.The lettering guide I received is a thinner, frosted green flexible plastic, like vinyl, with no ink-relief bevel. A lot "cheaper" than the original, but still mostly useful.

This tool is unbelievable are use it for hundreds of things to write on anything where there's no lines to guide me it makes anything you write on look very professional and neat it's unbelievable in fact I have four of them because I would hate to be without one😂

I bought this to put lines in an unlined diary I will be using for journaling my entrepreneur journey. It is light but durable, and very easy to use. It is well priced too. This is something that belongs in every pen & pencil case, just like a ruler. While you can still use a ruler to draw lines, the line guide already provides well sized line measurements for different line needs. You will discover many functions for the line guide.

A small plastic lettering guide for drafting. Excellent product, maybe 3 x 6 inches. It was repulsively packed in 9x12 bubbled plastic envelope. Enough already Amazon. Use some biodegradable material or match he packaging to the product. I love the environment of which I am a part and on which all of us, including Jeff Bezos rely on to live. STOP WITH THE WASTED AND EXTRA PLASTIC.

I'm a retired mechanical engineer. I have been using the Berol Rapidesign R-925 Lettering Aid since 1985, so 39 years. The original design and new design are marked with exactly the same part number: R-925 (not R-925A or R-925 Rev. A.) Why would a company who manufactures engineering products specifically for engineers think it's a good idea to save 5¢ worth of plastic and reduce the thickness of this product by approximately half. In addition, if Berol had taken the time to check with Amazon and look at the demographics of the people who are buying the R-925, I suspect they will find that they are OLD engineers like me, who still letter by hand and have used this product for many years.Berol, you have ruined this product. I'm surprised and disappointed in your company. I always thought you made quality products, but perhaps that was in the past. Please switch back to the original design of R-925. It was an excellent lettering aid just as it was designed many years ago.
