EZSound Box - 10 inch Extension Play Button for Stuffed Animals, Craft Projects, School Presentations, Hobbies, Personalized Items, Model Trains, etc - 200 Seconds - Rerecordable Thru Audio Port

I got this box to use for a costume party where I was a cat. I wanted to be able to purr! At first I had a little trouble getting the box set up, and I thought I needed special software because of some of the questions, but it turns out that software is unnecessary, I just needed to make sure that it was on. (It was a real "duh" moment!) I found a video of a cat purring and used that to record the sound onto the box - this was easy: 1) find the sound or build a playlist that you want to record onto the box. 2) Put the volume of your computer or phone up, plug the included double-headphone jack in to your device. 3) Push the big white button (it will beep once to tell you that it's active) on the box and hit play on your device. You probably won't hear any sound, because your computer is sending the sound to the box. 4) When you're done with whatever you want to record, hit the big white button again to stop. (The box will beep twice!) 5) You can then test your recording by hitting the smaller trigger button on the extension wires. The box will play the full recording and then stop, or you can hit the trigger again to cut it off. I ended up playing around with the volume level a little bit to get it where I wanted it, as the cat whose purr I borrowed was a loud fellow. It was easy to re-record over and over again with tweaks to get it just right - it won't stack recordings on top of one another, which I was a little worried about, it just erases the previous recording and keeps whatever the most recent one is. Then I was able to tuck the box into a pocket in my costume, and lightly stitch the trigger button to a spot where I could trigger the sound when I wanted to. It worked perfectly, and surprised everybody! For anyone who wants to record a playlist, please note that every time you hit the little button to start it, it will start from the beginning of the recording - even if you're recording from Spotify or iTunes it won't recognize separate "tracks" just one continuous file. I believe that you can use it to record your own voice or the sounds around you by hitting the big white button as described above, speaking into the box, and then hitting the button again, but I haven't tried it.

I got this as part of a gift for my boyfriend while we're long distance. My favorite thing about this is how long it lets you record - I was able to sing the entirety of Can't Help Falling in Love (and kinda slow, too) without it cutting me off. The only tricky thing is that you can't hear how it sounds until it's done recording, so I ended up doing it a little loud, but it's easy to use and easy to redo. I think the function of having it record off of a device is brilliant and makes it a lot easier. I found that doing it from my laptop produced better sound than through my phone, but the quality was pretty good - it's got a fair amount of white noise in the background but the voice is pretty clear. It almost gives it like a vintage kind of sound. It's a bit large, but for all the tech that goes into it I was fine with that and altogether very happy with the outcome.

I was able to record audio from my PC to the voice recorder very easily. The process wasn't very lengthy at all, they were clear and to the point during instruction. I had to repeat the process a few times from audio not being the correct volume but it worked out at the end. Press the button once to play audio and press again to stop audio. Keep in mind that the audio does not pause, so every time you press to play it will ALWAYS play from the beginning. I just wish the voice recorder wasn't very huge. I used it for a small doll and I was just barely able to fit the recorder inside but it came out a little deformed and the weight was not equally distributed. Aside from that, I would highly recommend this voice recorder and I will definitely purchase another when necessary!

Great for stuffed animals and with some modification... a single door/window alarm. This one has more midtones than the greeting card module which produces a fuller sound, good for music. It's missing the high range hz that I became accustomed to with the greeting card module. I hacked this one to work with a magnetic door switch just like I did with the greeting card. When the button is pressed the sound will play non-stop until the recording is over, there is no way to interrupt the sound once it starts playing. This module is capable of much louder volume than the greeting card module, by about 2x the volume. I had to lower the volume of my sound sample during the recording process otherwise it would blow my ear out. It can be quite loud so choose your sound/song appropriately... once it plays there's no stopping it until the song is over or you turn it off. Has an on/off slider switch. Idea for Invite by Voice; for stuffed animals allow multiple recordings so each button press plays a different sound sample. Having the same sound sample played over and over gets a bit monotonous.

Sound quality was very bad. There was some kind of background ticking/static noise in the recording. It stopped working completely after trying to record audio after 3 attempts. Did not beep or record or play any of the recordings

I would give this seller a 10 star or more if I could. I have tried so many voice boxes and this one is by far the best. Not only is the seconds for recording long but the quality is great. If I ever had an issue it was fixed right away. Sometimes things can get damaged in shipping but the seller always fixed it for me. I have been a customer of theirs for years and they are the only ones I will use for my crafts. Not only is the product great but the seller is as well. They have gone above and beyond my expectations and will continue to have me as a customer. Great product.

Ease of use was ok, kind of weird how you have to do it. Sound quality was ok for the price. Hit and miss if you got a lot of static with same type of recording method used. Would be much nicer if there was a volume control on the device as well. Sometimes the sound came through super loud and sometimes there was a lot of static…. A bit frustrating.

Easy to use, clear and loud as described

Excellent product. Easy to record, decent sound, no issues whatsoever. Recorded 3 times before I got the volume right, but recording 1 1/2 minutes of sound 3 times, how long does that take. All in all, very happy.

Great product. Recorded dinosaur sounds for my son's dinosaur costume. Wouldn't work with my phone, but was able to use it with computer.

Used these to record a lullaby for my kids, they hold around 3 min for the recording, and we left them out of a stuffed animal so they can access the button to replay if they want - which they like. The speaker is fairly quiet, but other than that they are great and serve the purpose!

Terrible quality, doesn’t work as it should, it just starts randomly and won’t shut off. Should be, press the button it plays, press it again off. Doenst work
