An Excellent Solution to a common modern problem
(Disclaimer: I'd ordered a Prosumer 3-Port HDMI switch previously, so I was identified to try out this unit.)This unit helped me create an ideal media setup and solve a problem I didn't even know I had.I work from home and use my TV as a monitor, and I have for years. I'm also an avid gamer. I like to listen to media (regardless of source) through my surround sound system, or through high quality headphones when I feel like it. I'd been using my speaker system as a receiver, switching inputs from Xbox, to PC, etc. Here's my setup:TVSatellite ReceiverSurround systemPC - WindowsPC - UbuntuXboxTurtle Beach wireless headset (runs off optical, mic is connected to Xbox at all times)My ideal setup means that all my devices can be run through my Xbox, primarily so I can get great wireless sound through my headphones.Since the Xbox only has one HDMI in (whatever is being sent there is shown in the OneGuide app) and a single HDMI out, I was able to run all my other HDMI devices into the HDMI switch, and then run one HDMI cable from the switch to my Xbox. The Xbox then feeds into my surround system and outputs optical audio to my headphones. My surround system then outputs to TV.I know that's a lot, and I literally had to draw a little flowchart to work out how I wanted everything connected, but the result is I am typing this on a PC that is running through the OneGuide app on my Xbox (so if I get Xbox notifications, they overlay on my screen), and at any point I can mute my surround system and get PC audio through my headphones. I can do all that with single, small HDMI switch added to my setup.TL;DR - If you have multiple HDMI sources and want them all to run through your Xbox, this unit makes it easy.

Bought to replace old one.
Bought one locally and it was cheap light and all plastic. This is heavier, solid and well made. Not to mention works great. Never had any issues with the quality of the signal passing through it. All video and audio are passed through perfect.

Does not work with AppleTV
This product works as advertised, however, it does not state that AppleTV is not compatible due to how AppleTV handles its sleep and the constant power it sends to the HDMI. Other than that, it's built great and the picture quality is good.

Very nice HDMI switch
I like this switch. It auto-switches reliably and the remote is easy to use. It's inexpensive, though it's not the cheapest HDMI switch you can buy. The cheaper ones I found are lower-rated and seem to have various issues, especially regarding auto-switching. Spend a few extra bucks on this HDMI switch and be happy with your purchase!

I works!
I've tried several different HDMI switches and there seems to always be a glitch. Sometimes I have to have the TV off to make a switch between inputs and sometimes I can't get them to work even if I dance a jig and pray to the moon glo......NOT SO with this unit it has worked fine with my TV and so using only 3 of the 5 available ports. It switches fine and apparently it handles the switching to my TV's liking. The remote so far has worked flawlessly but when the battery runs out there are physical buttons on the main unit that can be used until the battery is replaced. Right now I'm using it to switch between a 1080P Playstation, a 4K Firestick, and a 4K PC video card Connected to a 4K 70" TV. Works great for all 3.

Works as Intended, a Month into Ownership
I'm using this switcher to switch between two Windows 10 Pro workstations to drive a Sony VPLWV675ES 4K projector in my screening room.I had a pair of Monoprice Blackbird switchers that lasted about a year and then just stopped working. This switcher was purchased instead of another Monoprice, because Monoprice didn't respond favorably or honestly about the failure of TWO of their switchers inside of one year of use.I'm not terribly optimistic about the long term lifespan of any switcher, being they're all made in China nowadays, but I am hoping this one will last a few years more than the others. As for features, I do wish there was a way to switch between active inputs without having to roll through all inputs when using the front panel. The power LED is lit when the unit is off or in standby--rather counterintuitive and confusing at first. The remote does give access to specific input numbers, so if you want to switch from input 1 to 2, and back to 1, you don't have to roll through 3 and 4 first. So far, so good. I hope it keeps working. BTW, it costs about 3/5th price of the Monoprice switcher.
