Love the pistachio and dark chocolate combo is so good!

I am a great fan of marzipan , however these showed signs of being old and out of date . Little cracks and the dark chocolate had turned light. I took one bite to be sure and the taste was not good either . It says returns or replacements available but when I click on that it repeatedly says there’s a problem . There’s a problem alright !

Perfect quantity

I ordered these chocolates, but the pack I received were covered in dark, not milk chocolate. The filling was pistachio marzipan with a tiny bit of soft chocolate (it might have been hazelnut flavored, but it was just the tiniest drop of chocolate, so it was difficult to discern a flavor). Aside from the chocolates just being too sweet for me, I would have loved to have tried the mostly milk chocolate ones pictured, as Reber is known for making a nice milk chocolate as well. I like this brand in general and recommend it, but it is tending to be sweeter than a lot of equally high end chocolates out there, and even sweeter every time I try it, as if the sugar levels were being constantly tweaked up. If you order it, maybe send a message ahead to make sure you are getting the one you are ordering (mild vs dark, depending on what you want). If you enjoy fine chocolate and marzipan and are looking for something with a more sophisticated flavor, I highly recommend these Anthon Berg marzipan chocolates, which are also on offer from the same seller (as well as through Amazon direct, for a 2 pack): Chocolates Plum in Madeira Anthon Berg 275g/9.7oz I have been wanting to try Niederegger marzipan chocolates as well, but I see that they use artificial flavorings rather than just plain vanilla. I am very allergic to petrol-derived additives, so will continue to be on the look out for other brands out there, and will compare here when I do. For a long while now, though, Anthon Berg has just been the best.
