Great Game - recommend for mixed group
I got this game to play over a Christmas weekend with several relatives at the house. Knowing our family, I wanted to get a new game that was fun and engaging, but did not want to choose a game that required managing difficult instructions. This game fit the bill exactly. It only took us a few seconds to figure out how to play and we had a group that ranged in age from 11 to 60. We all played and had a great time, with just a few exceptions. We did love the fact that we could just pick it up and play without spending 15 minutes figuring out what to do, but our major complaint was that there are quite a few university and sports cards and none of us knows either college or professional sports teams. I could see why this topic would be popular, but we just agreed to toss any sports-related cards because no one knew anything about this. The game also comes with enough cards to play a few times a year, but I would like the ability to order extras just in case we wanted enough cards to play on a more frequent basis.Overall, it's a fun, fast-paced game that everyone enjoyed and that I would highly recommend. The 16 year old ended up winning even though he had never heard of some of the questions. It's not really about what you know, but how quickly you can think (though most people do need to know most of the topics - we did, other than the sports). We did find ourselves getting faster as time went by, and it was nice to feel like everyone's brains were starting to work faster!I would recommend this as a party game for all ages and especially for a mixed group of all ages that might not otherwise have a lot in common.

5 second rule and hours of laughter!
FUN!! This game is so much fun! We have a blast every time we play! On Christmas night and again on New Years Day, the whole family played together! This game is just awesome and one of those timeless games, that will never go out of style and will last a lifetime. The idea behind the game is simple...or so you may think! You are given 5 seconds to come up with three answers to a category. Now that may be an easy task when you aren't under pressure but given 5 seconds to get your thoughts in gear and trust me, your mind WILL go blank! That's where the fun comes in! The next person has to try to come up with three answers that can not include any of the answers you stated. You think it's easy, just try it and it gets harder and harder as you go along! This game is addictive! It is FUN! You will be laughing yourself to tears! I can tell you that my family really loved playing this game. We intended to play for 30 minutes and wound up playing for hours! The great part about this game is that EVERYONE can participate in playing. Mom even yelled her answers from the kitchen while cleaning the dishes, we just turned her timer for her! The great thing about this game is no matter what age you are...it has questions for every age!I honestly can't say enough good things about this game. It is good old fashioned fun! I'm going to buy a few more and give them out as gifts! With Valentine's Day coming up, give this one to your love! Who needs candy and flowers?, I'd rather have fun and laughter!!Disclaimer - All opinions are my own based on personal experience.

basic game but ok for game lovers
my family of 5 is a huge game family. closet is packed with games. this one is really simple and basic. what you see in the picture is it for setup. the cool looking timer that makes a noise small kids will love when you tip it over and then the box of cards. the directions are a little vague like when exactly do you start the timer. so we just agreed as a family to do it the second you finish the question. you keep the cards you can answer basically like you do in "apples to apples". a good amount of the questions are really tough and others have limited answers. well a rule is you cant repeat what others before you said if they dont get the full 3 correct. so if they said 2 then your up a creek if those were the same 2 you would have said. so a lot of cards go around unanswered and the original guesser keeps them. however the game is fun, its quick, and you could do it with just 3 people or really as many people as you want. i imagine it would work just fine with 10+. i reccomend buying it to have in your collection but it probably wouldnt be your top game for game night.

Fun game
Saw this game in a recent Christmas catalogue for twice the price. Purchased it at TRU for a decent amount. We have a lot of game nites during winter months that include friends & family & sometimes kids. We tried this one out & had a great time though it isn't as easy as it sounds.Basically it's: name 3 of whatever the card indicates (there is an "easy" & "more difficult" category) - in 5 seconds. If you do so in the alloted time you get the point. If not, the turn passes to another player or team. The next person(s) cannot repeat any of the answers another has previously given. If a person is in doubt about an answer, it's allowable to look up the answer via internet, dictionary, etc... Repeat this process til it's back to the starting person. If no one is able to answer correctly, the starting person gets the point for that round. This game is great for everyone including kids over 8 or so. It's an easy-to-understand one & is fun for a small or large group; teams or individual players; & is challenging (in a good way) for the mind. Too, it's a game that doesn't go on for too long, so no danger of boredom happening. Also, there aren't a lot of pieces to this game so setting up & putting away is fast.
