Recording King RM-991-S Tricone Resonator, Squareneck

This resonator is a beautiful piece of work. Picked it up and fell in love instantly. Definitely feels like heavy duty artillery. Love the smooth mirror finish. Looks like Megatron from the Transformers. At least 13-14 lbs.The feel of the body and the back of the neck is smooth and solid. This really has some mean dynamics: from whisper to very loud. Will definitely cut through a crowd. And the sustain will last for days. Came with extremely heavy gauge strings.Tone is bold, warm and natural sounding. Overall the playability is good.CONS: Few buzzes, blemishes, loose tuning pegs (perhaps the cheap ones) Other than that, it's pretty solid

I'm really enjoying my new Tricone Resonator. It was delivered in excellent condition. The shipper had requested signature service, I had to arrange a delivery date that I would be available. No Problem, FEDEX arrainged to deliver when I was home. I took the guitar from the shipping container, to find it in perfect condition. I tuned it and played for awhile listening to the bluesy sounds it could create. Later that evening, I went to a jam session. Everyone was blown away! The price is right and a great value.for the money If you want a Metal tricone reso, this is IT!!

This was the best priced tricone resonator squareneck guitar I could find... almost $100 cheaper than most others. The quality is just as good, if not better, than well known brands costing several times as much. I wish they offered one with a powder coat paint color rather than the traditional mirror chrome finish.

This Reso Guitar is finely crafted, and has a really nice sound. It is suitable for blue grass sound or blues. I thought it might show a lot fingerprints, etc., but it isn't a problem. I wipe it off occasionally and it looks great, and holds the shine.
