Worth having
So I ordered this just to have a small notebook to use for some zentangling and Journaling. I do these mainly for my personal use, I like to draw, and didn't want a whole bunch of the tiles floating around and trying to keep track of loose ones. I keep a small make-up bag with all my pens, pencil eraser (I know, shame) and this notebook fits in there perfectly. So on to its merits: the cover is soft and feels like a soft leather. So far it's held up to my abuse. The paper is a nice bright white 75lb Bristol type-paper. I've been using Copic Fineliners, Sakura Micron pens, and Faber-Castell Pitt artist pens, Tombow Dual brush pens and even a Sharpie. Only the Sharpie bled through, as expected. Everything else wrote smoothly and cleanly, no feathering or bleeding. There's a nice little pocket on the back cover that would hold some standard 3.5x3.5" tiles. The book doesn't really lay flat, but opens wide enough that as a leftie I can write comfortably on both pages. And to help keep your place, there's a small color coordinated placement ribbon. My ribbon was glued into the back cover. There's also an elastic band to hold it closed so if you needed to keep extra papers in there they should stay secure.I'd happily order this again

Travel Sketchbook
It's a neat little travel sketchbook; the one I got was the 6" x 4", & perfectly fits in a side fold-over pocket, on my purse. I think the only issues I have with it so far, is the flexibility [or lack thereof]. The pages are pretty stiff, and you really have to hold onto the book while you're drawing, & while it's open, the pages don't seem to open up that widely. I'm afraid to really flex, & break it in, out of fear that I'll mess up the binding. The sketchbook's placeholder, & little accordion-like folder in the back are pretty handy, & cool.

Great sketchbook. I haven’t started using it yet
Great sketchbook. I haven’t started using it yet, but the paper feels like it will be great with both pen and pencil - nicely heavy and not too textured. And the cover is wonderfully soft and luxurious feeling.

Love these little sketchbooks
Love these little sketchbooks! There is no bleed through, and the paper is perfect. I liked the first one so much I had to buy another.

Five Stars
Nice sketch journal. The cover is a semi-hard, flexible material so fits in pockets well.

Great for journaling, nice paper weight, binding, and cover
NOTE: This review was originally for the 6x8" version of this notebook, but it's the same as this one.I love these journals. I'm on my second one. I use them for writing, not sketching as intended. I received a green and purple one for Christmas and both are identical.Pros:1. The outside cover is soft and I've spilled things on them a few times and wipes right off.2. Elastic band helps keep the book closed and held up to the entire life of me using the journal.3. Back pocket built into cover is great for loose items you may want to store.4. Color-matched bookmark helps you keep your place.5. Binding is great -- holds well together, but book can stretch out to be relatively flat while writing.6. Paper is a perfect thickness -- thick enough that I can use gel pens that you can't see through on the other side, but not so thick that the pages don't turn nicely.Cons:I honestly can't think of any. These have been a perfect alternative to Moleskines!
