The description lacks...description
I've always wanted one of these take-out menu organizers so I finally reviewed them on Amazon and bought this one. It's fairly well made but the interior could use a little help and I question it's choices for tabs too. Since I took a stab on buying this because the description was lacking, I thought I'd do fellow shoppers a favor and create a more detailed one. This is spiral-bound inside with pages that have pockets. The organizer has a book look and feel about it and will fit in well next to your cookbooks. The pages are tabbed with cuisines that are not customizable unless you intend on using a label maker. The tabs include: Italian, Indian, Thai, Japanese, Chinese, Middle Eastern, Desserts, and Others. In the back there are 12 lined sheets with the chinese takeout box in the lower corner for notes, phone #'s, and etc.In the back, there are 3 business card sheets that hold 8 each. The inside back of the organizer also has a pocket for misc.If it was only Asian cuisine tabs, I'd chalk it up to the exterior appearance and I'd be pretty OK with it, but it's not. It has Italian - sure, but all of those others (Middle Eastern & Indian) and no Mexican? No American? I would've preferred to have had one Asian tab, and then a few other cuisines. Even a tab insert option would be good. Maybe not for all of them but at least for a couple. My ony other semi-complaint is the size. Most of my takeout menus fit but there are some that are just too long to fit in without hanging out the top - mostly the chinese ones. I'd look at your pile of favorite takeout menus and measure first. In summary: The look is great and it's well put together but the tabbing system is very restrictive. If you're fine with the tabs I listed, you'll probably love the organizer. Me? I'll probably end up looking for another organizer somewhere down the road but this'll do in the meantime.

Does what it is supposed to do
I am happy with my menu organizer. It is sturdy, has lots of pockets for different type of cuisine, etc. My only complaint is that I wish they would have let you label each of the folders yourself. I have a ton of menus in the "other" section...burgers, ribs, greek, puerto rican, cuban, etc. because there was no designated spot for them..and I have folders with nothing in them...like indian(not a fan),etc. But...it sure is cute and looks alot nicer than the cheap folder I had kept them in before.

Takeout Menu Holder
This served the purpose as a gift for a kitchen shower, but I'm not sure how well it will hold up. That is still to be seen. The organization was helpful, by cuisines and types of foods. The people at the shower enjoyed the idea of it.

Just ok
Their are not enough different categories of food especially the no slot for Pizza delivery. Most of my menus ended up being placed in the "Other" slot. Also, the menu book is not long enough. Alot of my menus had to be folded or were coming out the top.

Gifts
I needed last minute holiday gifts for older (19-35 yrs old) nieces and nephews. I like to give a "carrier" not just cash. These were wonderful. I put some menus and gift certificates in the appropriate pockets and the kids loved them. Very useful and impressive looking. Keeps everything at your fingertips.

Perfect way to organize menus
It doesn't take up too much room, about the size of a cookbook, and the tabs help organize menus by type, eg. Italian, Indian, Chinese, etc. and there's even a few card holder pages in the back for business cards and loyalty cards. Exactly what I wanted.
