Great ruler, doesn't bend when trying to measure
I got tired of trying to measure using a tape measure; it kept folding over. This ruler maintains its straight line at maximum distance. Only wish I could get a 10 foot ruler.

High Quality, Handy Device
This is a high-quality tool. Fit and finish are near perfect. Snaps out firmly and locks into place. Wood is strong and lightweight. Markings are clear and crisp. black on a white background with clearcoat protection. Markings are not fuzzy at all.To clarify the markings:Standard 1/16" increments on the front side. Inch numbers marked in black, ft in red ink. Reverse side has 1/10 of a foot instead of inches and 1/100 of foot instead of fractionals.

The product description is rather lacking. FYI, this folding rule is an American measure in 1/8" increments. If you want it to read it inside as an English measure, the backside is 1/10" increments. Inside reading (where the rule lays flat and the extra unfolded stack is ontop) is far more practical, so it is a bit disappointing that the less common 1/10" is setup for that.
