Great for shower bombs
I used this for making shower bombs with essential oils. It worked well, the shower bombs set up well and held up. They did not dissolve until actually placed in the shower.

Great Product! Trustworthy emulsifier for their cosmetic or skincare creations.
ChatGPTI recently purchased the 8 oz Polysorbate 80 by Velona, and I must say I am impressed with the quality and performance of this product. As an avid DIY skincare enthusiast, I appreciate the importance of a reliable emulsifier, and Velona's Polysorbate 80 delivered on its promises. The 8 oz size is convenient for various formulations, and the packaging was sturdy and well-sealed upon arrival. The product itself proved to be of high quality, with excellent emulsifying properties, making it easy to create stable blends. I also appreciate the transparency of Velona regarding the purity of their Polysorbate 80. Overall, I highly recommend Velona's Polysorbate 80 for anyone in need of a trustworthy emulsifier for their cosmetic or skincare creations.

Works
I didn’t know I would need polysorbate 80 for my homemade shower steamers until I made my 1st batch using mica colorant. They left a steak of color on the shower floor. 😳 Also, due to the amount of fragrance oils I use, the shower floor could get a bit slippery. We no longer have either of those two problems now that I use polysorbate 80 in my batches. We will continue to purchase this! The bottle arrived sealed with the cap screwed on well. A flip top cap is included in the shipment. I do not use that cap, but other crafters might love this additional cap.

Not as natural as I thought but works well
So the reason I purchased this product is because I was looking for something to make my Essential Oils soluble in water so that I could produce air fresheners. And also to use my essential oils in cleaning products. The polysorbit 80 works well for this purpose but it is not the most natural organic solution possible that I found.

THS STUFF MAY GROW YOUR HAIR!!!
In 1982, Durk Pearson and Sandy Shaw wrote "Life Extension". They are anti-aging experts. They advocated the use of polysorbate 80 for retention and potential regrowth of hair. Unlike minoxidil, it has no side effects. It eliminates DHT in the scalp, which is thought to be one of the reasons hair follicles die.I have only been using it for a month....but I have seen good signs. It takes 6 months of use to really tell. Just rub it in all over the affected area for a few minutes and leave on for at least a half hour. Then wash and dry as usual....easy.What have you got to lose? It's cheap and purported to work. Some scientist had published results that were good....with real subjects...long ago. The FDA doesn't like to push stuff that pharmaceutical giants can't make money from. So the results of this scientist were "never published". You do the math....

Makes everything sticky.
This might be my fault as a first-timer with solubilizers, or maybe it's the type of thing I'm trying to use it for, but Polysorbate 80 is not the solution for my emulsifying needs. It's very thick and syrupy, somewhat oily-textured, and sticky. I read a couple blogs to see how much to use for my homemade skin and hair hydrosols (mostly made with rose water and orange blossom water with ~40-50 drops of essential oils) and it simply said you need more solubilizer than oil. So that's what I did. Just to emphasize, these weren't body butters or things with a majority of oil in the preparations. These are basically bottles of water-based essences with less than .10% oil. Regardless, the P80 did not succeed in emulsifying anything. When I shake the bottles everything gets cloudy, but by the time an hour goes by it's all separated again. Worse, the skin and hair tonics are all sticky. I also tried this with homemade cleaning sprays- mostly liquid in 32 oz bottles with around 1 Tbsp of oils in them. Same result. I don't know if it's the product or if it's user-error. I guess I need to find something different? Please advise if you know.
