I'm not a contractor but often I need to measure things around the house or while running errands or shopping, but I don' t want to carry a 16 meter tape measure in my pocket or clipped to me belt.Try finding a small 6' tape measure that's barely larger than a couple inches long and wide, and it's not easy. Some tape measures are inches only, no metric, which is not very convenient and doesn't make sense since there are two sides to the tape.There are those inexpensive tape measures that are round and used for sewing, but they are not rigid and not ideal for measuring stuff.This 6' tape measure checks the boxes for me. The case seems sturdy -- all plastic held together by two screws at the bottom. The top of the case moves a very tiny amount because it has no screws. It should not come apart though. The tape is easy to read and is double sided. The tape moves in and out fairly smoothly. The tape stop is all plastic. I suspect if you use this tape roughly the stop will not work as well over time and might even brake.So, for light use this will work just fine and probably last a while.I bought if for the transparent case -- it's kinda' neat.

Chose this one over others for the color and clear case, honestly, but it hasn't let me down. Got four so my whole team can have one - they're easy to read, bright and distinctive, and hold up to drops from belt height just fine. No rubberized exterior, which is a negative for some, but I prefer it since I find the rubber just gets gross and snags in pockets. Very handy little tool in a bright happy color :)

I've been needing a new keychain tape measure for quite a while. The numbers were peeling off of my old, cheap one. Most of the truly keychain sized tapes are either cheaply made, or they only have one set of units, US or metric.This tape appears to be well made, and durable. I love that it's double sided. Sometimes, you need to wrap the tape around something, and take a measurement. That'll be so much easier, now. The printing is sharp, and easy to read. I haven't used it enough to be able to tell for certain, but it appears that the paint on the tape is of high enough quality that I shouldn't have to worry about the printing wearing off for quite some time.I like the transparent case. It's fun, and if my tape starts having problems, down the road, I might be able to see the issue without opening the case.The one thing I'm not thrilled about is the sliding lock. It takes a lot of force to slide it. Maybe that's just because it's new, and it's not quite broken in yet. But still, it makes a perfect pocket tape measure just a great one. (A tiny smidge of mineral oil applied to the slide lock channel helps. Just don't get any on the tape.)I wouldn't call this a keychain tape measure. It's just a little too big. I'd call it a pocket tape measure... And yet, I'm so fond of this thing that it's earned a place on my keychain.

I love keeping one of these little tape measures on my key chain. Unfortunately, the little chain is so weak it doesn't hold the measuring square. Too bad because it is such a handy little tape measure to have when shopping or doing miscellaneous little jobs. It didn't suit my needs but others may have a different opinion.

This tape measure failed the first time I used it. The tape does not retract. I waited a long time before my first use so I can’t return it. Check yours right away if you buy this.

Lost my 25’ tap measure some time ago. Saw the 35’ on line and said “that’s the one for me.”Works great and also has that extra length you just don’t find anywhere else.Certainly nice to have around to eliminate any mistakes.

Terrible quality. Most overpriced item I ever bought from Amazon.
