Quieter than hOmelabs, does the job
UPDATE: One year later (April 2020) and it's still going strong! It does make a slight rattling sound from time to time, but if you adjust the removable plastic cover in the back the sound goes away. So far I've been impressed, considering we keep this thing plugged in all the time. Bumped the default humidity level up to 60% and end up dumping it every other day or so. Still 5/5!I give this dehumidifier 4.5 stars (rounded up to 5 for Amazon). In my quest for a dehumidifier, I initially purchased the hOmelabs 70 pint (comparable to the Frigidaire). However, the hOmelabs is just too damn loud. I live in a small ~750 sq. ft. apartment which traps moisture causing foggy windows. Unlike many others, I needed a dehumidifier for my living room and not simply a basement where perhaps noise isn't as much of an issue.Pro: The OULUN is about 2x quieter than the hOmelabs.Pro: The OULUN takes up less physical space.Pro: The OULUN vents out the top as opposed to the left side like the hOmelabs.Con: The OULUN tank capacity is roughly 1/2 of the hOmelabs, requiring emptying roughly every 12h (set @ 55%).Con: When emptying the tank, the OULUN drips a bit.In the end I returned the hOmelabs, so as long as the durability of the OULUN lasts, I'd highly recommend!

Lots to love if you don't need Humidity below 50%
This arrived on July 9 and I am writing this on July 27. The humidity in my bedroom was over 70%. My upstairs neighbor had a flood and it affected my bathroom and closet. The neighbor's insurance company brought in a rented Servpro dehumidifier which brought the humidity to 35%. I was so comfortable...no night sweats, better breathing, etc., so I bought this Oulun Eurgreen 50 pint, Model :OL20-266E. It is so quiet I can sleep with it (in my large bedroom). It has been running without a hitch for a few weeks. I used the gravity hose into one of my kitchen pots and emptied it 4 times a day. (I didn't want to use the built in water container because I wanted that to stay really clean.) I tried running a longer hose into my bathtub, but realized that it has a GRAVITY hose which will not allow the water to travel upward over my bathtub ledge. The ionizer really freshens the air. The only problem is that it will not take the humidity down below 50% which is a deal breaker for me. Had it been able to do that, I would have attached it to a condensate pump so I didn't have to empty the water and could have used the pump's hose to deliver water into my bathtub. As it is, I am not returning it, but I am giving it to a friend who is fine with 50% humidity. I am now trying the Honeywell 70 pint with drain pump. The Honeywell, while not noisy, is louder than the Eurgreen by about 10db...a loud fan vs. a whisper quiet Eurgreen. The Oulun Eurgreen also puts out siginificantly less heat. And, the humidistat is accurate and reads the exact same as my stand alone thermometer/humidistat. The new Honeywell reads 7 %points lower than the Eurgreen and stand alone humidistadt. I don't know if the Honeywell is poorly calibrated, deliberately reading lower as a marketing tool, or just inaccurate. One more thing...the LED display is annoyingly bright at night, but I covered it with an old photo which stopped that problem (light still came through a black towel). So, bottom line...if you are good with 50% humidity, this Oulun Eurgreen 50pint dehumidifier is a smallish, very quiet, seemingly reliable unit that does not make much heat and reads accurately. The ionizer is wonderful. I wrote customer service twice, and got responses within a day.

Problems Freezing Over after 6 months
Up date... I have had 6 months. Worked great in the beginning. I have a dehumidifier from Home Depot for 5 years and is still working great. This one has ice all over it and is leaking on the floor. It is not taking the humidity out at all. Gonna let it thaw and try it again. Hope it has a warranty. See ice on coils in photos.I ordered it no rush and it came early. Boxed very well. Instructions are HORRIBLE, but it don’t take 5 minutes or less to learn how to operate it. It really is quiet. We have a well foam insulated new house. (Electric Bill $51 a month or less) I do not want my attIc vented. So we keep our humidity as low as 45% to less that 50%. When we take a hot shower this machine takes out the humidity in minutes. No hassle or mess. The air is always fresh and clean. We get bragged on by our friends. Dryer the air heats and cools more efficiently and saves on the electricity bill.We already had a dehumidifier we bought from Home Depot. My wife one year was sick a lot. Our Doctor ask us if the humidity was high in our house and if so we may consider getting a dehumidifier. He suggested try and keep the humidity around 45%. We used his advice and she has not been sick sence. That was 3 years ago.I have thought of rigging one up in my attic too. I have humidity gages that seem to work well. They agree with the gage on the dehumidifier. The gauge in the picture shows it is a little warm for the moment. My wife just finished her shower and she likes it wam, but it cools down quickly. One last thing this dehumidifier is NOT SIX gallons. It maybe one gallon or less. Sort of glad because 6 gallons of water to empty would be very heavy. I empty it once in the morning and once in the evening, iF I run it continuously. That depends on other elements that determine how long it takes to maintain our desired humidity percentage. We have been doing this 3 years now.I read 70% is WET45% or below maybe a bit too dry45% to 50% is desired60% too heavy not comfortableMy lips get chapped in the night if the humidity gets too low...
