Four albums from 1972, '75 and '76 from US country rockers Pure Prairie League. All but 'Pure Prairie League' made the US Top 100 albums with the single 'Amie' giving them an elusive Top 40 hit. The band continued recording for RCA until 1979, and then switched to Casablanca Records. Over the years there has been many personnel changes, but Pure Prairie League still goes on with a couple of original long-term members. Digitally remastered and slipcased with extensive new liner notes.

Personal music taste
This is of course subjective. Just my cup of tea music. I have all these LP`s on vinyl, but nice to have the convenience to be able to play them in the car, good memories from a band of quality musicians and great songs.

Four albums with this country rock group. Had them on vinyl before, glad I found this CD. Good country rock group!

Great collection.
Wasn't too familiar with their work, so it was a great introduction

Two of the best ever Country Rock albums in decent remastered sound at long last.
At last. Pure Prairie League’s eponymous debut and ‘Busting Out’ get a cd issue with decent remastered sound. I have bought these superb albums three times now and on every CD version the sound has been very disappointing when compared to the original vinyl. Well done BGO.You also get ‘Two Lane Highway’ their fine third album and ‘Dance’ their fifth. Although those two have previously had decent sounding CD releases. Those first two albums are, in my opinion, the best country rock albums ever made featuring, as they do, absolutely superb songwriting and musicianship. These guys could really play, with special mention going to John David Call, a truly amazing pedal steel player and Craig Fuller’s superb vocals and songwriting.Unfortunately the USA’s unfortunate practice of forced conscription led to changes of personnel before they managed to record again. If Country Rock is your thing your thing you need this set on your shelf alongside your Eagles, Burrito Brothers and New Riders CDs.Five stars (at least) for ‘Pure Prairie League’ and ‘Busting Out’. Four for ‘Two Lane Highway’ and three for ‘Dance’.

Really Great Buy from a very Underrated Country Rock Band!
The first 2 albums are classics and up there with the great Bands of the 70s. They are a joy to listen to and the other 2 albums are above average!

Autorip on one album only.
You're given the impression that you will get a digital version of each album but you only get 'Bustin' Out' included on Autorip. Cancelled order for that reason.

DO NOT BE FOOLED BY AMAZON'S BLURB ...
Sure, the fact of 4 x albums in one CD package is excellent vfm BEWARE ... the digital download advertised as accompanying said purchase is actually only one album ("Bustin Out") and not all four as you might think without delving deeper into the small print.Plus - that digital download ... what ?? I've heard bands in telephone boxes sound better. Utter rubbish.
