The Unfinished Nation: A Concise History of the American People Volume 2

My book came a bit worn out, the binding is starting to fall off and there was underlined text and some writing but I only need it to read and at least my copy is still readable. Can't wait for this semester to be over so I can return it though. For $12 to rent it for the semester, I don't know what else I would of expected

As advertised I got it used with a few marks and scratches nothing major. Was a great deal.

I bought this for myself, not for a class, because I wanted something comprehensive. I was prepared to sacrifice readability if necessary. But this is beautifully written, even-handed (as far as I can tell), intelligent without requiring a lot of prior knowledge, and mercifully lacking in that “welcome to my suffocating, hermetically sealed moral universe” flavor that a lot of textbooks used to have. The price may not be conducive to casual reading, ditto the layout (though I got used to it pretty quickly), but if those are not deal-breakers, I heartily recommend this book.

I got this book for school and I really enjoyed it, told history in an interesting way. Not just about the big events but also about the peoples lives during that time. The chapters and sections were organized in a very good manner. I would recommend this to people who like history in general not just students.

This is the most interesting text book I have been forced to read. Amazing stories and vivid details.

It was the book I needed, but not in good condition. It came with a tear in the front cover of the book.

Arrived on time, not. I have prime and it came a week later. Book was a bit more damaged than expected. OK price. I'm OK with it. At least it wasn't full price. Will buy again. Thanks

This book was was compact but clear and gave you an adequate understanding of history and events at the time. I enjoyed reading it, and the detailed explanation at the end each chapter about the the summary of the events was useful.
