Better quality and function than my OEM Lane recliner pull handle. Very Pleased!
Fits perfectly and is built better than the OEM handle! I have had my Lane "home theater pit style" recliner for about 4-5 years. For the past few years, the handles on the recliner have been problematic. They took a lot of force to pull open, and the footrests were very difficult to stow (you had to slam the footrest back with enough force that the couch would scoot on the wood floors). I had attempted to adjust the mechanisms, but that would only work for a short time. One of the handles finally broke, and I found this replacement. I installed it in under 5 minutes, and now the recliner actually works better than it ever has. I found that one of the reasons the recliner was so hard to stow was that the wire on the "eye hook" end had become frayed and the broken wires would bind up in the plastic guide sleeve when you let go of the handle. When you went to stow the footrest, the eye hook still had tension and the footrest latch would not always catch fully. This replacement handle has metal ferrule and a plastic/nylon protective sleeve over the cable to prevent it from fraying like the OEM one did. Over all, this handle appears to be of higher quality than the one that came on the sofa originally. I will keep this review updated if I have any issues. For now, I am planning to replace one or two of the other handles that are not even broken, just because this one operates so much more smoothly.

Works Great -- A bit of a challenge putting on, but not because the product was bad.
Fit my recliner perfectly. Unfortunately, the people who made the chair put the original pulls on before gluing and assembling chair, so getting to the screws both to remove the old pull and install the new one was almost impossible. One screw I could get to with a very long #2 Phillips bit, but the other was impossible to get to. I finally drilled a hole about 5/16 inch diameter to let me slip the screwdriver point through the offending piece of wood for disassembly. I used a bit of painters tape on the screw and screwdriver point to put the screw back in again. Take your time when selecting your pull. There are various designs that look similar but may not work. Measure parts and compare with written dimensions or ask the vendor specifically if it will work on your piece of furniture to avoid getting the wrong thing.

Works as designed
A little shorter than the original part being replaced. Have to reach a little further between arm rest and seat cushion but it still works great.

Not exactly as pictured
After viewing the photo for the product, the photo shows a metal connection at the end that releases the footrest ... the o-ring handle is ok being plastic, however the connection to the footrest is what broke on the original. After reviewing several of these units on Amazon- I decided on the slightly more expensive release ONLY because it looked to be aluminum or stainless steel. Just installed and for now it’s working fine, but there is a definite difference in the photo and what’s delivered

Check the length before ordering
Works just fine. You need to measure the one you have before ordering. I got one that was just a little longer than what I needed. But it worked. Will order again if needed.

Looks almost identical to the original, just hope it last longer than the original, which wouldn't take much
