Fantastic quality, but wrong color
I'm not exactly an umbrella authority, rather I live in Southern California and I can't pick out a substandard umbrella from a great one, but this seems like a winner for my winter break traveling adventure. This product has a very sturdy design with quality workmanship, and it surprisingly boasts a soft handle. As for my 4/5 rating, my point dock probably isn't appropriate because Amazon Prime fulfilled my order (I've also been extraordinarily impressed with Prime, well worth the cost), but I received the wrong color. I ordered black and red, but I received navy blue and orange which is strongly reminiscent of the terrible Denver Broncos. I've never had any problems with Prime, and this mix up is understandable because I ordered and received this days before Christmas, but it's kind of a bummer. Also, be advised that this umbrella does fold and compact, but it's not one of those mini compact umbrellas. Again, I'm no umbrella authority, but by the description I thought I was ordering one of those mini ones. This umbrella measures about 18" when compact. These are the kind of mix ups one says "meh, oh well" to, so it's not worth sending back, but also reasons not to be completely satisfied.

Good Affordable Sun Umbrella
Update: I've had the umbrella now for 2 years. And for two years I've carried it in my bag and it's been pretty abused with use and being tossed around. And it STILL WORKS. Seriously. This was a good buy. I'm really pleased.I feel somewhat ridiculous using an umbrella to keep the sun off me while walking around or waiting for my train or bus. But since I don't wear hats, can't always remember to put on sunscreen and am outside a great deal due to my job and lack of a car, I have to find something in the middle. So the umbrella is my middle ground. I wasn't sure it was worth it, as there was only one scientific study done on the effectiveness of an umbrella or parasol to block UV rays and it was not extensive. But this particular umbrella was compact, reasonably well rated on Amazon and cheap enough I was willing to take the risk. If it was anything less than exactly as described, I would have just sent it back. But the whole purpose of this umbrella is to lessen the harshness of being in the sun (especially on a HOT day), protecting you from the UV and if it rains, keep you dry. And that's what this umbrella does. So hooray for that.1) the umbrella canopy is fine, I feel like it's well stitched, fastened to the umbrella body well and though I did opt for a small umbrella that fits in my bag, it does keep me covered enough. It seems decently heavy enough material. The umbrella isn't very heavy.2) The stem and plastic handle of the umbrella are a little wobbly together. And the handle can be a bit small and uncomfortable to hold for any length of time. Overall, it's not a huge issue but I don't expect this umbrella to last a year. To be fair, I wouldn't expect any $15 umbrella to last a year.3) I find the button itself to open the umbrella to be a bit sticky. This is a minor issue for me, but might be a problem if you have weak hands or arthritis. But closing the umbrella is not difficult. And yes, it can handle rain. But I wouldn't take it out for anything more than a drizzle or light rain. It's not that large and I don't think it could handle any serious winds (I'd go with a gustbuster or something of equal reputation for real weather).Overall, I feel like this is a good summer/spring sunny day umbrella and my money was well spent. But I admit freely that when this one breaks, if I find an equally well rated sun umbrella for more money, I'll buy that first and hope it's sturdier. But overall, this wasn't a bad choice either.

This long-lived umbrella also is itself a safety feature
We have just ordered two more of this umbrella. Although it is not the easiest to use umbrella we have had, it has lasted three to four times as long as any of the others, plus it is itself a safety feature. Let me explain. Mid-yesterday afternoon ****in poor visibility conditions**** the front left tire on a friend's car blew on the way to NYC. We wound up on the side of the road, not terribly long before an exit, with a a tire needing to be changed just feet away from busy 65 MPH traffic. I was able to walk 100 feet back and open my bright yellow umbrella. THE ONCOMING DRIVERS SAW THE UMBRELLA, turned off their turn indicators and moved to the farthest portion of their lanes to avoid hitting us all. Everyone in our party decided after that to buy a bright yellow umbrella to keep their cars in case of the similar situation ever arising. So do not think of a bright yellow umbrella only as an umbrella but also as a safety feature to be kept by your spare tire!

Fits perfect thru a door
Pros: pop up button for quick coverage when exiting car.Fits thru doorways so you can walk into a building without closing if need beWide enough for good face and hand coverageWorks for rain and sunshineCompact size ( well almost) I ve had smaller but easily fits under my car seat or in purseCons: when I first got it the pop up button wasn't working and I had to get a screw driver to fix it. I was afraid it wasn'tgoing to last for long. However, I have had it for 6months now without another problem. I use it almost daily as I am fair skinned, live in Arizona and try to avoid getting to much sun.

Great orange accessory!
I have just received the three umbrellas - true orange- love the color! I opened and closed each one several times and didn't have any problems. I ordered these to use at my daughter's college graduation which will be held in a football stadium, rain or shine. It will be a long event so it can shield us from the hot sun or keep us dry if it rains. I hope the color of three orange umbrellas together will help her to see us in the stands. Orange is also the "in" color for accessories this spring.

Great color, but too long for a purse
The color of the umbrella (the teal) was right on, but I cannot comment on its functionality since I never opened it. I was looking for something small enough to fit in my purse, but this did not fit the bill (and I have a big purse). I would imagine it would be great for keeping in a car as a backup umbrella. The restocking fee for my return was really expensive, though - half the price of the umbrella! I paid 15.95 and the fee was $7.98. Lesson learned: measure before purchasing.

Nice colour but I thought it was bigger
Too small

Pequeño y de construcción endeble.
Es un paraguas pequeño y frágil. No esperes mucho de él. A pesar de ser muy barato, creo que queda a deber por tamaño y calidad de construcción.
