Outstanding tea, great value!
Only a few seconds steep needed to release a rich reddish amber color; very pleasant toasted-bread (malty?) fragrance, with a mild and sweet comforting tea taste. Tried the B grade, but looking forward to getting the A next time!

Not as good as others
Jin Jun Mei is one of my favorite teas. This one is just okay. It's good but doesn't have the quality of others I've used. Not as malty of a flavor as others and seems weak on brewing multiple times. I can get more brews from others.

Tasteless tea
I am very disappointed with the tea. Jinjinmei is supposed to be the #1 black tea from China. But This is very light almost tasteless. Not sure why it gets so many five star ratings. Too bad I can not return. But won’t buy teas from this company again.

Not my cup of tea
Tried this because I'm partial to black teas. I find it has an odd after taste on the first brew. Perhaps subsequent brews taste different, but I definitely do not care for the first. Sticking with the Fujian Oolongs that I enjoy.

good flavor
I'm impressed!! I was not so sure with the initial aroma of the dry leaves but once I brewed them, it was very very nice. It was a very warm, almost cocoa-like taste. I used 8 grams in a 150 ml gaiwan with spring water- brewed to 195 - I gave a rinse, then a 10 second brew and then followed it up with a second infusion by adding another 5 seconds. I look forward to seeing how many steeps I can get from these leaves.

JinJunMei [A] worth the extra $$
The leaves are all whole with very few broken. They are nice and spindly, as expected for this variety, with a profusion of yellow. The aroma of both the dry leaves and the brewed tea is a mix of chocolate, dried fruits, and a really good vanilla bourbon. If it were a wine, I’d liken this to an old vine Zinfandel or in spirits, a complex brandy. I brewed it both gongfu and Western style and it worked well both ways although I prefer the former. That way, I picked up more malty notes in mid/later brews and I was able to brew the leaves six or more times. Well worth the $ based on my experience and preferences.

Great Flavor!
This tea took my chai lattes to a new level! No bitterness, very smooth, lots of flavor depth.. This black tea is my new go-to. I will DEFINITELY be purchasing this product again!
