Great product - be sure to measure your storage area before buying.
This is a little taller than shelving that comes installed in most homes. Measure your space before ordering - otherwise, it’s a great product.

Works great!
I love these containers! Got a set for my sister for her new home and she loves them too! I use the round one to store my k-cups and it takes up less space than the storage bins that are typically used.

Mostly good but not perfect
I like plastic storage containers, and after a lot of trial and error I’m learning what the difference is between ones that do a good job and ones that do a great job. I’ve found OXO rarely lets me down. You pay a lot more for them but what you get is something that is well thought out and well made. And it seems like they have something for every purpose.WHAT IT ISIn this case I wanted a container that is roughly the size and shape of an average cereal box that holds about 20 ounces. The reason is that when I buy cereal at the membership clubs they usually come in two cello bags which are really awkward to store on my cereal shelf along with the prepackaged ones from the grocery stores. This one is the ideal size and shape, has an easy to grip handle and maybe the best design pop open pour top of any I’ve seen. It’s a strong clear non-flexible plastic that reveals the contents and has one feature that makes it stand out among all of the rest.THE FEATURE I LIKE MOSTWhat I like most isn’t really a features as much as a design that’s free if any latches or other things that can cause it to catch on other things in my cupboard. The top is just a press to fit rubber gasket with no latches at all. It doesn’t look like it would stay in place but it does. To use it you just press down on a teeter-totter type flap and the front end pops up just enough to smoothly pour almost any cereal, even mini shredded wheat. The design mean nothing will get stuck on the way out – no crevices to have to clean. When you press down on the flap it locks securely in place with a second rubber gasket.CLEANINGA cereal container doesn’t require a lot of cleaning but from time to time I would want to do more than wipe it with a damp paper towel. For those instances the flap slides off and every part is exposed to deep clean in the sink.YES OR NOThe reason I chose this one is that it is one of the few that fits exactly where a cereal box would in my cupboard. It’s simple and no hassle. They have a three-pak that saves a few dollars but I only really needed or wanted one. Do be careful, there are other sizes that look very similar, only one of them is 3.4 quart. I won’t ding them for this but it’s frustrating that OXO never listens to customers and they still refuse to give simple exact measurements for most of their products, insisting instead on referring to how many quarts it holds which in my opinion is useless – who can visualize the size of a container and if it will fit in a pantry or other place by how many quarts it holds, and who measures the contents of cereal boxes in quarts? Those rare times that a product page has any dimensions at all it is for the size of the outer box they use to send it to you. It’s amazing a company could be so out of tune with how their customers think. Despite that, I like this product.

Confused on sizing? Read this…
This review is for the 2.5 qt “small granola cereal” size. See photos. I didn’t buy it for granola but it will hold 8.9 oz box of cereal. The “medium cereal” containersize holds a 12 oz box “Large size” box on cereal. This may be confusing. For “Family” sized cereal boxes 18oz or more, you will need the “Bulk cereal” container.Tip: When securing the lid, keep the pour spout open, press the top down tightly, then close the pour spout. The seal is so tight it can be tough to put on or lift off if you don’t open the spout to release some air first. It does NOT have gaps as some have mentioned, if you place the top on properly.Pros: Easy to hold. Bottom of container is easy to clean. Fits nicely on my pantry shelf and looks neat. Extremely air tight!! Maybe not as tight as a canning jar but it’s not made for liquids and it’s far better than just a chip clip! There are sugar ants where we live and so far no issues.Cons: There is nothing to assemble unless you take the rubber gasket off to wash the lid. That is the only reason I deducted one star. When the top gets wet, it doesn’t dry easily. If you’re not careful you could trap moisture in your top and thereby your cereal. I don’t bother running it through the dishwasher for this reason but it does take a while to air dry for some reason.Update months later: Still performing well. Overall a great product and I would purchase again. Just wish I had gotten the right size but there were so many contradicting reviews. Hopefully my pictures tell the story and this helped you.

Reviewing 1 year on...
I’m back to purchase one more of these so I thought I’d leave a review as I’ve had 3 of the 3.2L dispensers for just over a year. They’re easy to use, kids 4&6 are able to pour their own cereal however if they’re full, they do dispense really quickly. I have read reviews that the lids come off. I’ve never had this issue (not once) however, when putting the lids on you need to open the pouring spout and really push the lid on. Then they don’t budge. Cleaning is pretty simple, I put mine in the dishwasher. They come apart into 3 parts plus the 2 seals. Can’t fault them so far, hence why I’m back to get an extra one. We’ve never had an issue with stale cereal either so they are air tight.3.2l holds most ‘average’ size cereal but 750g bigger boxes or above won’t all fit it. Most suited to 500g boxes of cereal.

some niggles with the top
Let me start by saying that this product is by no means terrible. IT does a good job and seems to keep food "fresh".However there are a few niggles:1) When replacing the lid after refilling, make sure to push it down fully. If not, you risk holding a lid with no container and a floor full of food stuff. Of course, this can also be avoided by not grabbing the top, but that is location and space dependent.2) When filled, opening the flap to get items out is not the greatest, especially with smaller items. My small bowl of cereal turned into a bowl of cereal and cereal on the surrounding worktop do to overflow. I will add however that once it is a bit emptier (say 85% filled), it does not do that.Overall a good product, but those niggles to me make it 4 stars

Sleek Container!
I couldn't help but get one of these after reading all the amazing reviews! Overall I have to admit I'm very impressed to say the least! The design is really sleek especially when compared to the traditional cereal containers, it's incredibly easy to wash and simple enough for just about anyone to use. I usually get a 500g pack of cornflakes and find it only fills 3/4 of the 4.2L container - if you get similar sized bags of cereal I reckon you could get away with using the 3.2L container. My only small niggle, and the reason for knocking off 1 star, is that the lid can be ever so slightly stiff when trying to pop open and given the price I wouldn't have expected it to have a smoother open/close mechanism. All in all though I'm very happy with this and wouldn't hesitate to buy another!

Rip off
Amazon "as new" warehouse deals are basically just broken goods, I wont be falling for that again.....this practice clearly reflects just how bad their customer service is now.....they will delete this review but they can't delete it on trustpilot, along with all their other victims reviewsI see my comment that Amazon would delete my review has prompted them to publish it. My reviews are always held for moderation now as Amazon don't like me sharing my honest customer experiences (although reviews from people who have been given incentives aren't a problem). So I have updated it along with photos to check if they are willing to allow the unabridged criticism...which I seriously doubtItem arrived with the bottom badly cracked, but in undamaged packaging. Contacted cust serv, no longer a matter of requesting a call back, went through the ordeal of an automated messaging system which appears designed to send people around in circles presumably to make them just give up. When I finally did manage to speak to someone I explained that the items had arrived damaged just 20 minutes ago, as could be verified on tracking, and was broken on arrival. I took a photo which I offered to send but this was declined. I was told the only 2 options were to either print a return label or use a code on my mobile at post office. I explained I don't have a mobile due to being partially sighted, and my printer had long since stopped working, like most things with Windows 10. I requested that a mailing label be sent to me in the post but was told computer says no, It was then suggested that I search around friends to find one with a printer and get them to print it. At this point I asked to speak to their manager......long delay on hold and the manager was equally unhelpful. Consequently, I had to Macgyver a repair using gaffer tape on the "as new" (translation: not fit for purpose) warehouse deal which cost me £13.32 - just 17 pence less than a new one would have but like an increasing amount of items was out of stock on Amazon. Around unpleasant experience with the self-proclaimed most customer-centric company, (those days are long gone)

Attractive-looking, well-designed product
Search for cereal containers and the market is awash with cheap plastic — if functional — items all claiming to be better than each other but on examination are the same mass-produced container. Some photos of such other wares misleadingly suggest that they are clear when in reality they are semi-opaque. Nor are they rigid. Nor do they look particularly attractive. The OXO containers are in complete contrast these. Some of the better high-street shops do indeed stock something approaching the OXO container, but the varying designs mean they inevitably wouldn’t match the other (fairly standard) ranges of good quality flip-seal airtight containers. The OXO ones looks good against the other white flip-tops, and are only slightly modified to allow easy-pour of cereals and a grip for ease of handling.I sent four containers by another brand back to Amazon as they weren’t the clear plastic suggested on the advert. Reviewers here helpfully confirmed that the OXO ones are indeed clear, rigid plastic. They’re more expensive, but if you don’t want your kitchen to look like a bric-a-brac store they’re worth getting.
