Great choice when they're priced lower
My two dogs like these treats. They enjoy them, they don't love them, but then they're difficult, they're poodles, they're... French. My dogs are small and these are perfectly sized for them. The size of the treat is not uniform, there are long ones and thick ones and bits and pieces and dust, but as a crushed topping they're awesome. I actually keep small pliers near the treat jar so that I can break up the treats. One crush and they become brittle and easy to break up. They also make a fine intact treat... quite good.I'm the kind of person who looks at the price per ounce of foods and treats -- as well as the general ingredients. The price on this fluctuates wildly. When they're inexpensive, they're awesome, now that they're higher priced, I'm switching to something else. Many of the similar treats... with identical ingredients... are sold in very small bags for just half the price of these. That can amount to paying ten times more (per ounce) when buying the smaller bag. If you're the kind of person who buys cute little (thinking itty bitty little jars of Skippy peanut butter) overpriced containers of household items, I don't think you (or your animals) are the intended market for these treats. They're just not that refined. The more frugal, yet still quality-minded, shopper, however, when these are purchased toward their lower price range, will be very pleased -- Five star pleased, when adjusted for somewhat lower (I'd say "realistic") expectations. After opening, but being careful to reseal the bag, these treats will last for months, in my experience. Its great that there isn't any filler in the treats, like, really great, IMHO. There's a little bit of "gristle" and hard stuff... all seem to be genuine, related animal parts, in some treats. I regard that as essential roughage that is beneficial for dogs. The material is tendon or something, not hooves and hair.My advice is to buy a big bag when its on sale if you have a smaller dog. Divide the bag into a couple of batches to preserve freshness and put them back in the bag. The manufacturer might consider doing this for you.

Dog likes 'em
Senior dog with a picky palate likes these treats. Helps me get nutrition in her when meals can be difficult to get her to agree to.

High value training treat that I feel good about
These were recommended by our trainer and our dog is obsessed! We break them into small pieces to train with and bring on walks. I love that they pure beef liver rather than mixed ingredients so I feel it’s a healthier option for training.

Good price, good treat, a little hard for my specific needs, but still thumbs up!
My dog has diabetes, and because of this needs to eat and get an injection at regular intervals. However, like any being, sometimes she is not in the mood or seems to tire of certain kibbles. Our solution was to sprinkle a freeze dried liver treat atop each meal, because unlike other dog treats nowadays these are tasty (at least she thinks so!) and *just* meat (which we need because of the diabetes?).Although I have since moved on to another product, because this particular treat is hard to break up into a powder to top her meals, I still think this is a good treat, and so I give it 4 stars. Here are my thoughts:1. It's JUST meat! Once you have a diabetic dog - or dog with any issue that makes you have to read labels - you will be shocked to find so much cr%& is in dog food. It's pretty much as bad as modern people food - processed as heck and full of: Sugar, fillers, tons of worthless processed grains, etc. This treat is freeze dried liver. Just liver.2. They are smelly, stinky, yucky, icky, funky and blap! DOGS LOVE THEM!3. Despite the above, the treats *are* freeze dried, so unless you are breaking them up with your fingers or spoons like we were you probably won't get much yucka on your hands.4. Even though the product is pure meat, it's freeze dried so that it lasts a long time. This little bag will probably never go bad on you with regular use.I do recommend this product. I do confess we have moved on to another one because it is easy to break up and sprinkle over our dog's meals, where this treat is pressed into sheets and cut into little rectangles... they are quite hard. The one we moved to is this one, for those interested: One Rewards Chicken Breast Freeze Dried Dog Treats, 20-Ounce and it is: softer, more product at once (at 20 oz) since we use it often and that just made sense for our needs. I will review *that* product when I finish the bag, same as I did for this one, to give it a fair run! :-)Again I do think PureBites is a perfectly fine liver treat, a great price and a good size if you don't feed it a lot and/or have a lot of dogs, etc. Ask questions if you have any and feel free to check out my reviews for some other dog products, especially if your pup has diabetes like ours. Best of luck and hope this helped! :D

Freeze dried liver treats for dogs.
My dog Allie loves these . I forgot to bring treats for her in training class last Thursday. One the trainers Laura had these little star shaped treats. The I gave them to Allie she didn’t like them. Then Laura brought these freeze dried beef liver treats out I gave Allie one and she liked these treats a whole lot better.I bought this and after it arrived i broke off a piece to see if she would still like them. She still liked them a lot. I am definitely going to buy more and use them in training Allie after these are gone. I definitely recommend these

Big bag is not that big actually
I bought the biggest bag 50% off. I thought it was a killer deal. But i quickly realized it wasn’t such a great deal when i received it. I was misled by the « 9 pounds of liver »printed in big letters on the top of the bag. I really thought i was getting 9 poungs of treats. However The real net weight for the biggest bag is a bit more than 2 pounds, that’s all. The price was barely discounted if i compare with the other brand i usually go with. So… yeah. I was underwhelmed.
