I had this exact same blanket from 5 years ago, and I loved it. Unfortunately, the cable for it fried and the blanket no longer works even with a new cable. I was so happy to be able to find this again, but this new version just does not compare to the old one at all. It doesn't get as warm, and the material seems to be stiffer than the old one I had. The way this one feels when you move it feels like one of those packaging paper that is use in shipments and just doesn't feel like a regular blanket. I'm just disappointed that the quality dropped so much.

I purchased Biddeford's basic throw over 10 years. Still using it, but it only warms in spots now, which I have made do with for a couple of years now.So I got a new one. I am just amazed at the steps Biddeford went to cut costs on it. The material is thinner. They got rid of the reinforced stitching. It just looks really cheap. To be up front, I probably paid more than $41 for the old one from a Kohl's, but it wasn't a lot more. Hopefully they didn't skimp on the electronics. The controller is the same as my old one, except with blue buttons.I will update this review once i use it for a while.

I had a micro plush Biddeford heated throw blanket that I absolutely loved. The blanket lasted for years, however starting having trouble with the controller recently. I was so excited to see this blanket was still available, however when I received it, I was disappointed that the quality of the blanket itself is nowhere near the quality of the original blanket. This new blanket is very thin... no way you would consider it as plush. The blanket does work, and unlike other heated throws the timer stays on quite a bit longer, however very disappointed in the quality of the blanket itself.

3 out of 4 throws dead after about two months of light use. I bought four of these for sitting outside on the patio and was very pleased with them at first try, but after two months of light use, maybe a dozen evenings at most, three of them are completely dead; the first died after only about three uses. The warranty process looks like an obstacle course; not going to waste my time after wasting my money. I won't every buy a product from Biddeford.

Don't waste your money! First of all, I didn't open the plastic for a few days because Amazon said it was a blanket. It is a THROW!!! I finally got over my anger and gave in. I opened the package, plugged it in and turned the controller on. The blanket gets warm quickly. I was starting to enjoy it. By the third night, the controller wasn't working properly. I had to disconnect/reconnect the cord from the port because the controller was malfunctioning. Long story short, I am a very cold natured person. It's freezing tonight. My HVAC has been out for years and I depend on my electric blanket to keep me warm. I came home from work tonight and the control is completely dead. Now what am I going today? It is 2am; the brick and mortar stores are closed. I have heard of, "you get what you pay for", but this is rediculous. I haven't owned this item for 2 weeks and it's dead already.

From the reviews this supposedly heated throw was supposed to be a very good heated throw. I had a Sunbeam heated throw for several years and it stopped working, so I needed a new one. Even on the highest setting this throw doesn't get as warm as a Sunbeam heated throw on a medium setting. Don't waste your money on this non-heated throw. I'd return it but Amazon won't give me that option. I guess I could just use it for the dog bed

Bought this “like new” direct from Amazon- packaging flaw. Packaging looked fine but cord didn’t work at all. It was warm here for a few weeks so didn’t open until after return date & couldn't return. My mistake. Spent $25 for a replacement cord. Initial plug in worked, and fried shortly after. So something is definitely wrong with the blanket. Waste of money and very disappointed with Amazon for reselling something that doesn’t work under the pretense of “damaged packaging”. Shame on you Amazon.

I just plugged in my new electric throw and an loving it so far! I sit outside on my front porch alot and have found electric heaters to be expensive and not very effective at keeping my warm while sitting outside on the front porch when it gets cold. This throw is large enough to cover my feet legs and upper torso (I'm 5'7"). I started on high heat (#6), but had to lower the temp (#2) ... it's 50° outside. I hope this helps...I'm very satisfied so far ... my first few hours. I'll update my review if things change in the future.

Purchased Biddeford heated throw in past from Kohl’s. They use to have a different controller which worked better. Mine finally quit after a few years. with Covid the USA boarders closed i Searched amazon and was so happy to see they offered it. I love the 10 hr timer. Received my order and within a week, the throw would not heat, amazon gladly exchanged, received second throw, on second night controller did not work. Biddeford has to find a better quality controller, once they change controller model on heated throws, this would be a nice product.
