This knife work really well for field dressing two deer. The handle is of good size, easy to grip & control & is bright orange so it’s not easily lost if you set it down. The blade was not too long, the tip is blunt/round so you don’t puncture organs/intestines, blade curves upwards so slightly so as you lift up it starts to cut which gives it a “zipper” like action. Paired this with edge razor knife and it made field dressing move fast. My son did the field dressing on two deer, it was his first time ever, he had only watched me do it in past years. I think the company should include this knife into their knife sets.

This knife makes field dressing quick and easy with a blade that can’t be beat.

This type of knife is better for field dressing game than a gut hook. This disadvantage is that you have to carry an extra knife with you. Gut hooks get the job done but they are harder to sharpen than a normal blade and the motion to use one is not really natural. I've cleaned many deer with no gut hook and quite a few with one. But my favorite knife is my dad's old Browning (no longer available) that has three blades on it - one like this blade. I've seen others with this type of blade but the price was more than I was up to. At this price this is fabulous.

Much better on hide than a guthook! Processing a cow elk was a breeze with this and a couple other tools

I was able to use it to field dress a buck i harvested. i was pleased how well it worked the upturned blade makes opening the cavity a breeze. It arrived pretty sharp i had a bit of a hard time getting it shaving sharp though because of the curved blade. So far i am happy with my purchase and look forward to try it again.
