GREAT IN COFFEE!!!
First time trying this and like everyone else I was curious about it after watching the series Call The Midwife. Now I must point out that I am not a fan of milk…never was. But I do LOVE chocolate milk. This does not mix well in cold beverages, it must be mixed in hot beverages. Great in hot chocolate and hot coffee. I drink flavored coffee, Mocha flavored coffee to be precise. I add just 1 heaping teaspoon into my coffee and it’s delicious. I did try it hot milk - I didn’t hate it but I also didn’t love it - but as I mentioned before I am not a fan of plain milk but if you are a fan of milk you might like it as it gives the milk a malty taste & texture which is quite pleasing. I highly recommend and will buy again.

Yummy if malt is your thing…I love it!
Love this stuff in hot milk. Only disappointment was plastic container vs the tin one of my youth!

Instant comfort
I never had Horlicks before this year, or any other malt beverage like it. It became a go-to comfort food (drink) the second time I tried it. (I admit, I was kind of uncertain about it the first time - but I liked it enough to try again.)Somehow, this thing that I tried for the first time in my 50s snuck in and joined up with pleasures of 45 years ago: an insta- childhood favorite.I like shortcuts, so I usually make this by putting the powder in a cup and filling the cup about 1/3 with boiling water, stirring until it's dissolved, then filling the mug up the rest of the way with cold milk and microwaving it. I typically add just a little sugar or sweetened condensed milk, but tastes vary.

Not the same as the original formula
I’m sure this tastes great to some but to those who grew up drinking Horlicks, this formula just doesn’t feel the same. It tastes sweeter? and the powder is more finely milled. Is it nasty? No. But it just doesn’t meet my childhood expectations

Not as rich as Asian Horlicks
Three stars for having less sugar but it is certainly not as rich as the Asian horlicks that I am used to. Indian grocery stores have the horlicks manufactured in Sri Lanka. I have not had to add milk or sugar to it and I can make a rich, tasty hot drink with 2 heaped tablespoons, since that's how I like it. However, this European horlicks is way too mild and I had to keep adding tablespoon after tablespoon and stopped myself at 3 spoonfuls and added milk, but with much effort resisted the urge to add any sugar. This one is pricier too than the Asian horlicks which comes in a glass bottle and the larger one goes for around $8. I would have liked to give this 5 stars as I generally love everything European for their quality food and ingredients. But just not this time.

Great drink when you add chocolate to it
I liked it better with chocolate added to it. Makes a nice warm drink for the winter.
