I had seen the effects of cooking oil solidifying products on a YouTube cooking channel I subscribe to, and decided to give this product a try and am so glad I did!! We had a 2.5 gallon jug of cooking oil that we had purchased at a wholesale warehouse and due to its size, tucked it away after filling our smaller oil container and then completely forgot about it. A year and a half later, it reeked of being rancid, but we couldn't just toss it in the trash, and calling the city for a special pick-up just kept getting forgot about, too.Cooking Oil Solidifier to the rescue! It was as easy as pouring portions of the oil into a deep pan, heating it and adding the proper amount of Cooking Oil Solidifier, stirring it until it was fully melted and mixed, and then allowing it to cool. The mass of solidified cooking oil came out of the pan easily and could then be safely disposed of in the trash (and it's biodegradable)!This is so handy, too! Now when we use our fryer to cook fries, shrimp or chicken and the oil is ready to be dumped, what was once a messy process of bagging the oil for disposal is now as easy as adding Cooking Oil Solidifier to the oil and giving it a stir. When it's cool it slips right out of the fryer and into the trash as a biodegradable product!!Absolutely amazing, and I thank you so much for this product!! This product works as advertised. No more going through rolls and rolls of paper towels of god forbid pouring oil down the drain. This product makes disposing of your used fry oil as easy as it can get. You just scrape the solidified oil into the trash can and call it a day!

Directions are in metric so Americans need to convert the amount to use. Oil must be hot and you stir a lot but it does work. I used this to clean the small quart sized deep fryer. Disposed of solids in the trash. Worked for me just fine. Didn't use much of the product either. Good value for cost.

I've always added the waste oil to a paper towels and put it in the trash. Now, this product has made it crazy easy, not only to use, but reduce the use of paper towels. I love this product.

Works okay. It definitely dissolves into the oil and solidifies it but you still have to basically scrape it out of the pan. It doesn’t turn into a jello mold and fall out like the pictures and video shows.

Works great, price is good compared to other brands that cost more but don’t treat as much oil.

I li=ove fried foods, especially fish & chips. What to do with the leftover oil is always a dilemma. This stuff solves that problem. Sprinkle it into warm or hot oil (when you are finished cooking in it, of course) and it solidifies it into a mass that can be tossed in your regular trash without making a mess.***TIP - Put it into the opi when the oil is hot and stir it up good so it dissolves. I give it a few more stirs again after a few minutes. If it sticks to the bottom of the pan, just heat the pan for a minute or so & it will come right out.
