Works well, feels sturdy, long battery life
Good quality, great battery life, attractive, sturdy, good value for a non-smart 4G phone.I needed two 4G dumb phones because of new network requirements, I got a blue and a pink one of these, and these worked as soon as I put in my old SIM cards. The case is sturdy, feels good in one's hand, the buttons are fairly large and easy to read.Although the directional keys are smaller than I like, and if you're typing in a text and accidentally don't land on a direction key, but hit another one accidentally, it will dump your entire text-- and the texts are a bit of labor to write, even worse than my old dumb phone.Even though the size of fonts are easy to read throughout, it makes the list of messages a bit clunky large-- and they don't group by same sender, so you have to go through a long, long list of individual messages. The battery life is phenomenal compared to my old phone. But since I don't want a large smart phone, and don't use it much for texting, altogether it works well for a decent price.

You do get a VoLTE phone
FINAL UPDATE: I didn't use this much, and fully regret ever buying it. Years later, while cleaning out a desk, I see this piece of utter trash and I remain shocked that any company trying to have a continuing brand name ever would have printed their name on this garbage. It's on the level of a generic disposable kids toy.[older...]It does pass T-Mobile's IMEI check. The whole thing has a feel of low quality. The first thing I noticed was the swirlish molding artifacts in the plastic around the keys. Not a functional problem, but it looks cheap. The black color does make it less obvious. The buttons are acceptable, but no more than that. The battery cover has the protective camera window attached to it. Remove the battery cover, and you are looking directly at the pinhole camera component attached to the board. Most phones have a more sealed design around the camera. If dust gets under this battery cover, there's nothing else protecting the lens. The camera quality is terrible, given the price. It's identical in quality to phones from 15 years ago which sold for literally 1/4 as much. It's not just that it's a VGA sensor. The pictures are not like if you shrink or crop a picture from a good phone down to 640x480. It looks more like a cheap spy camera. They don't even look good on the phone, and if you send them to a friend with an iPhone or Android, they will look horrible. Also very bad is the location of the camera. It's on the bottom half of the phone, right behind the right edge of the d-pad, so your index finger tends to be in front of it when clicking the shutter with your thumb. It's just very poorly thought out.AND another thing... because the camera is on the bottom half of the phone, that means it's not aligned with the display. If you hold the phone with the display pointed straight at your face like you would with any other phone, the camera is pointed 20 degrees towards the floor. If you want to take a level picture and see the display, you have to hold the phone slightly higher than your eyes and look up.Sorry for spending so much text on the camera, but it's just so bad for a phone in this range.I like having the FM radio, and the antenna is built in so you don't need headphones. The display often (but, strangely, not always) makes a repetitive clicking noise when the radio is playing. It stops when the display goes off.It does have a few good points. You can disable the power on/off sound, which even expensive phones usually don't let you change. You can change the shortcut settings the D-pad accesses on the home screen (but they aren't labeled). The display is about average quality for the price, the one hardware component that isn't sub-par.Overwhelmingly, this phone seems like a VERY low-end product. You would never guess how much it costs and you won't feel like you got a fair deal. The world is severely lacking in 4G flip or bar phones right now, and I don't have any solid recommended alternatives.UPDATE: One more thing about that camera. The sensor is oriented for vertical pictures, but there are horizontal (AKA landscape) settings. If you select a landscape option, the junky phone actually crops out the top and bottom quarters of the sensor. The pictures aren't even VGA, they are the 480x360 center pixels of the sensor stretched to VGA size. You can set the resolution to a vertical orientation and use the full VGA sensor, but if you tilt the phone to get a real VGA horizontal picture, the phone does not understand you are doing that so you get sideways pictures.Update 2: The battery seems to drain faster than expected even with the phone powered off. This thing is truly awful.

Good value
Kinda flimsy but better than the phone I have.

You get what you pay for
We bought this cute little phone for our daughter. As a phone, it works well and does what it needs to do. It's not a Samsung/iPhone so looking for it to do more than make calls is a mistake and you should avoid it for the multi function features it does offer. The camera is poor and fuzzy, it has Facebook preinstalled, but good luck browsing that on the low res tiny screen. The plastic on this phone gives is a somewhat cheap feel, but again this isn't a high end phone and fits the price.Giving it 3 stars mainly for how poor the battery life is on this thing. I recall having old flip phones prior to the smart phone age that would last for days. My daughter uses this to make maybe 5 calls in the day and no more than a couple minutes per call and yet she still has to charge it daily or else it dies overnight.

Well, that didn;t last
Spouse wanted a flip phone. We got the Plum Flipper. I do not think she realized that this was a basic phone, nothing like the one that was aging out and did not have VolTE. It worked fine for a while, but one day woke up dead. Charging showed the sweep as if filling a battery, and it would only take moments to get fully charged. It would not work with the charge plugged in or not, it would not work at all.Back to square one. Pretty sure a flip phone is no longer on the list.It was fine while it lasted, but did not build confidence by becoming inert so quickly.

4G & perfect for calls & sending occasional text.
I like this phone and am glad I found it. I bought a Nokia which I had to return. I looked at every non-smart phone & even some inexpensive smart phones. Then settled on this Plum Flip. Yes it is 4G.First, I think the 1 star reviews are because they didn't transfer their Sim card correctly. It took a little jiggling then you have to lock it in. Failed three times myself, but that applies to any new phone. This phone is slightly larger with nice large buttons. It's lightweight but sturdy. I had to email Plum a question on how to open the back cover and they responded within a day. Plum website has common Q and A's. (To open the back cover there is a small indention on the side where you can pry it open.)You will lose your contacts unless you follow instructions but I only had a few so I just copied them down on paper. Typing out text messages is nuts. Like nothing I've seen before but I got use to it. But maybe beware if you text a lot. Good volume & everything else is easy to use & well designed. Phones are often loaded with annoying apps, this one only has 2 games and facebook.
