I would say no it's more for plastic like carbon fiber

Will this hold solar panels to the roof of my RV?

No. The amount of air flowing around the heavy solar panels at highway speed would make them roadkill in short order. The tape is made for smaller applications, i.e., auto vents, wall plaques, etc. The auto vents are more aerodynamic and the wind rushes over them. The air will flow under the panels, probably ripping them off.

Can someone advise how easy it is to remove the tape from a glass surface. I'm thinking about hanging picture frames onto a glass mirror?

IT will work great. remove and clean with baby oil or wd40.
