I have a turntable but i don't want to use it to clean dirty vinyl. how can i use this tool without involving my tt.

I felt the same way. I bought a second hand lazy Susan and drilled a whole in the center of it. I glued a small dowel in the middle for a spindle. I then put an old turntable mat on it . I put my records on that when I clean them. It works great. Buy one of these Vinyl Vacs- they really work well.

Do I need to buy a vacuum hose separately?

Thanks for reaching out. The Vinyl Vac 33 is designed to attach to a standard 1.25" or 1.5" vacuum hose (wet/dry vacuum recommended). You would not buy a vacuum hose separately, you would use the existing hose that comes with your wet/dry vacuum. We recommend the Stanley 1.5 hp, 1 Gal wet/dry vac. Available here on Amazon.

Can you use with a standard dry vac? For example, a dirt devil from Target.

Hi Ben, The Vinyl Vac can be used with a dry vac but I recommend a wet/dry vac. Because you will be vacuuming after a wet cleaning and rinse a wet/dry vac is highly recommended.
